3.2GHz overclocked to 3.6GHz

it ran fine for just over 1.5 years

3.2 intel would either be the (640) or possibly older my guess is 775pin 640

Luke its a 1yr old HP Pentium D 2.8 ghz i think and i think it has like 512mb of ram but it may have 1 1gb stick really cant remember possibly just needs a format

3.2-3.6 isnt much of a OC i had the P4 650 stock is 3.4 running on 4.02ghz on air

But also dont forget over clocking a little bit 3.2 to 3.6 and have a shitload of services run on your pc at the same time is not a good mix

plus it has lasted well just over 1.5 years so thats a good deal i reackon

and that computer was rarely shutdown as it was acting as my server

it was also my test DEV pc for random things like studying for exams or just trying to get something to work

Well luke if you still wanna do this then the offer is there for you my friend

If you can double check which socket it is, I'm sure I can find you a replacement. I have at least 2 intel chips and 2 AMD 64 chips so I just gotta pull them out n see what they are...

Good news guys! Got the call that the calendars are ready to be picked up thursday! Sooo next step is getting them to you guys.

Im happy to meet people on friday at vilis, just not sure what time yet, otherwise can work something else out.

At this stage theres still 5 left for sale.. I thought they would be snapped up alot quicker than this, but all good.

Those that put their car in but havent paid yet, let me know what you want to do, as to order more i have to do lots of 5, paid upfront.

*edit*

Im paying the difference for this first lot that is going to be collected so I can get them out asap to you and cos im so excited bout them, but the next lots of 5 I will need paid in full, so 5 payments.. before I will collect them

awesome Ben :ermm:

I had u listed in my book as reserved lol so your safe there :(

And Preiss aswell has 1 reserved.. so thats 22 sold, 3 left!

Im happy to sacrifice the one i was gonna take, and buy up in the next lot. To get the 5 extras printed, would only take a few days the printer said aswell, so if you miss out on first round dont stress, its easy to get more!

    • Lets say I wanted to buy this, specifically for this purpose. How do I actually perform the function. Can I still buy a Consult-1? Am I about to be burned by the fact my car is a 2000 model Series 2 R34 and thus will be some stupid other system? Do I just need this -> https://obd2australia.com.au/product/nissan-consult-14-pin-to-usb-ddl-diagnostic-interface-with-ftdi-ft232r-chip/ And with what software?
    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
