I am in the process of building an RB30/26 and have my RB26 Block, CP 86.5mm pistons and std rods with ARP rod bolts up for grabs. I have pulled the block right down to confirm it's all in good order. The motor has done around 5-10,000km's since it was rebuilt. The block and crank were both prepped by ADVAN.

Specs are:

1.5mm oil restrictor

decked

oil return galaries enlarged

additional support to turbo oil outlet(most crack and leak coolant, very common)

86.5mm bores

Balanced Crank

Linished

Plus the usual ADVAN prep

rebalanced and prepped std rods

Both the motor and block are stamped and numbered by ADVAN. I'm sure ADVAN can bring up all the specs on there computer if you want to find out more, i'm sure there are other things they have done that I haven't listed.

I would fit new rings ,but, you could get away with the current ones if your on a budget. Good for 380rwkw no problems.

Includes

Block

Water pump

Crank

Craddle

Windage trays

CP forged pistons, rings, pins, clips(still assembled on rods)

Std Rods with ARP rod bolts

Located in Adelaide

Avail: next few days

Price: $1000 the lot

oh, it's cheap...I've been out of the loop

happy to sell it quickly to pay for my new build.

I can arrange rings at cost

My Mechanic rang and recommended the rod bushes be changed also

I can arrange postage anywhere in Australia for a great rate door to door

can also arrange new bush, bearings, and rings fitted with block cross hatched ready to go at cost.

btw DANOOH has first dibs.

then in order of messages on my phone I guess

I won't be on mobile till after 1600 Adelaide time

Regards,

Matt

Oh, it's also from a 1998 Series 3 Vspec.

i can give you the chassis number, engine number if you would like to confirm with the Nissan Fast software.

cheers.

Not really Adrian, i know Matt, but i also know that Pete doesnt enlarge oil galleries, use oil gallery restrictors or balance standard rods and cranks, hence the reason i asked

Your right he personally doesn't, he out sources those bits to be completed to his specs.

Anywho it's sold and paid for

Just for the record, Peter has not balanced any part of this engine, he has not enlarged oil return galleries nor fitted after market oil restrictors, i should know, i helped put this motor together. Peter does not believe it is needed when putting an engine together.

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
