nah i quite like spiders.... i let them build webs in the corner of my room... they eat the moths, the mozzies and the flies and all i gotta do is 'trim the web' occasionally. Win/win scenario.

Much the same but only Daddy long leg spiders.

We had one in the corner that had babies; he migrated a couple of times then came back to the same corner. Even took a few happy snaps of him that I have on the computer some where.

Yeah daddy long legs, money spiders and luck spiders are nice to have... if theyre small and dont have fangs you're generally OK...

redbacks and wolf spiders, huntsmans and orb weavers get kicked out heh, although my dad did have a pet redback in an aquarium once called Ashley...

Kinda pales compared to my brothers snakes and scorpions

-D

We kept a big huntsman upstairs for a while. My step brother and I named it Fred (or Frank, it kept changing). Didn't build any webs, just sat. Adds excitement to life when you wake up and he's not where he was when you went to bed, and can't find him.

Though when he got within a 1m radius of either of our pillows it was time to move him back into the living area. Eventually he disappeared.

But back on topic I hate people that do 25 km/h in a school zone outside school hours and there is no one under 18 in the zone, in fact, no one in the zone at all. And then stop for a couple seconds at a giveway sign to make sure no one is coming, drive slower then walking pace around a corner because their afraid the insanely huge G forces experienced while turning a corner will break their hip or something, and then think its best to do 5km/h under the speed limit everywhere else.

Or when you're following the above person down a street where you have to give way to oncoming traffic if a car is parked on your side of the road. Only when a car is on the other side, the on comiong car has stopped, waved the person in front through, but the person in front also stops, and waves the person who already stopped through, make sense if that.

When people stop and WAIT for people to come to give way to at the end of Jetty Road so everyone can see their wicked Mitsubishi Mirage with sick as graphics and sick chromies with a huge loud as milo tin on the back, then floor it and give you the finger because everyone was tooting him to hurry the f**k up.

When people do walking pace down Jetty road...for each of their 15 laps they do.

Huntsmans are cool.. I'd have plenty of the around if the other half wouldn't scream at first sight. :D

Out the back we had these small baby scorpions. They would have been a little bigger than my thumb nail. Killed them all as I figured they will turn in to big ones one day. :S

So.. Baby Scorpions growing in my back yard is what gets up my 'nickers' lol.

i really HATE the fact that i waited 3 months for my GTS-X to get here only to have it trashed in the container when being unloaded........now i have to find another one. spewing big time.........

what gets up my knickers? my new phone has god damn network branding on it.... fricking cnuts ruined a perfectly good phone with god damn network branding. Considering resell it and get one with OEM software and housing.

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
