I'm using it as an excuse to justify replacing the standard swaybars with adjustable Whiteline bars.

It only hits when you've got it all loaded up in the middle of a corner and you hit a decent bump. I'm hoping the sway bars will increase roll resistance enough to stop it happening. Doesn't happen at QR or on the road, just those 2 spots at Lakeside - both have decent bumps in them when the car is all loaded up on that side.

If that doesn't work I'll look at other options. but I don't fancy relocating the loom...

well except then you either rub through loom, or fit plate and rub through tyre.

best bet is relocate the loom.

LOL

I have been a victim in my 32 at the circuit. ;)

learnt lesson, relocated now!

im looking forward to this. out of curiosity, for those who have done both winton and oran park can you put up your times. basic theory is that winton is the closest thing to oran park we have down here and could be a rough indicator of times to be had..

Handbags belts out 36s at Winton and 17s at Oran Park. But his car is not exactly easy to use as a yard stick because the thing is such a wild thing to drive. So may be worthwhile considering a GT Production STI used to run 1:33 at Winton and at OP they run 1:16

email nathan@superlap Bryce he'll be able to help with that.

it's going to be a ripper. hell I may even make a fool of myself in a car that's way above my skill level... :P

Enter the Truck Beer Man!!!

lol, it's pace is on par with my skill level. still it might give that RX7 a shake up as he comes up pit lane the wrong way at me...

Ha,,Ha,, thats as funny as Baron,,,thats a car I was asked to drive. I can't see it happening now as we are about to have a little professional argument soon.

If I do still get to drive it,,,there will be none of those shenanigans,,,so you might have to not use the truck my good man.

Merry Christmas everybody.

Love as always

Neil.

Neil you mean it's wrong to drive the wrong way up pitlane? But I seen a well known tv personality/instructor do it last weekend in his ute so it must be ok....

No Ben nothings wrong till you get caught. You should know that!!!.

No I would never drive the right way on my mobile,,,then reverse back into my garage and then reverse down pit lane again. Did i get that right???.

Enjoy Christmas everybody

Neil.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
