Thanks. Have sent them an enquiry.

Edit:

Damn that was a quick response from modyourcar!

Was told you need a Haltech ECU for this dash.

Bummer!

If that's true (doubt it) then it applies only to the haltech version, but check out the racepak forums for ecu compatibility (adaptor modules etc). And search around for the cheapest place to buy them - normally direct from the US is best, but Intune in WA were selling them incredibly cheap (950 for display only) when a friend checked towards the start of the year.

You don't need a Haltech ECU for the IQ3s.

Racepak sell modules that translate between most aftermarket ECUs and the dash.

So they have modules for Motec, Autronic, AEM, Big Stuff, OEM Corvette ECUs, DFI, Haltech, MEFI, Pectel, FAST, XFI and some sort of generic CAN interface. Doesn't look like they do one for PowerFC at the moment. Worth speaking to them though because they are very pro-active if they see a marketing opportunity.

There are also two versions of the dash. A full logging version and another that just displays things. The one linked in this thread on modyourcar is the display only version. Either versions can be hooked up to any ECU that has an interface. Or you can run them without any ECU interface at all. Just don't have as much to display or log.

There is a guy called Mike Runge here in Australia who is stocking them. I'll try and pull his email off of my laptop if I can get it to work after running it over this afternoon with the Evo :( Bizarrely enough whilst pulling out the Autronic interface from my IQ3 setup to lend to a fellow IQ3 user whose interface had died and is entered in Targa West next weekend.

Sounds good. So on top of the dash you just needed the interface module so it works with the ecu (I have an sm4 as well), and the usm module for additional inputs (oil/water temp, oil pressure etc).

Correct. System works like shown below. Excuse crap paint pic.

Hi guys - am wanting to revive an old thread so as to enquire who has purchased one of the Racepak IQ3 logger dash units and if so, from where. I have only started exploring this avenue of modification so am hoping to get some good pointers as to where to start looking and who has provided good/bad experiences in the buying/selling process.

I am wanting to purchase and install the IQ3 dash, Autronic SM4 interface and USM 4 channel interface unit for my 4G63 powered Lancer Coupe.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

i've got a haltech/racepak dash. waiting to put it in the car atm. the racetek site has a price list which is pretty good.

$375 USD for the Autronic modual

$1395 USD for the logger dash

$175 USD for UMD

$1945 USD total

or

$2242AUD + postage.

i'm not not sure if the Haltech vnet module will work with the Autronic, i don't see why it wouldn't, as they both run the CAN interface, but might as well contact a Haltech dealer and find out, cause i think they are slitly cheaper from Haltech ATM.

I was looking at the states, was quoted $200 USD for postage though. My local tuner is a Haltech distorbuter, so I got it through him.

A few tuning companies are onselling the IQ3 now, i know Tomie are selling them (at a 11ty% price hike)

We have one in our project car now. We got ours directly from Haltech.

Here is the link to a few pictures of it installed: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ps...og-t242907.html

    • Big enough for you, Jackie, and some puppers mate! I vote some GSDs, but I am biased   How big of a block is it on?
    • Well, fun day was had, I finally found a house that will do me just fine, 1980's brick build, but with full fresh renovations, plus new colour bond fencing all round so puppies are incoming 🐕, and water tanks for the garden, and it's located in West Goulburn..... @Duncan 🫡, so day trips to Wakie to watch cars going Zoom will be on the cards In the end it cost well under my budget and was actually better than alot of the more expensive joints I was looking at, it is in a good area, close enough to the shops, public transport, and the Wollondilly River Weir,  and the great walking paths along the river, but far enough away from town to see minimal traffic The deposit is dropped, the conveyancer is conveyancing and I should get the keys in a week or 2 as the property is currently unoccupied  As with everything I own, I'm doing up a modifications list, as it doesn't have solar, that is first up on the big list, all of the panels and enough batteries to keep the joint warm, or cool, followed by a largish carport out the front, the small list, which will start as soon as I have keys, is some security stuff, like cameras, screens, and the usual "crazy prepper" additions that weird old people like (mouse holes to stick shot guns out of, and the usual man traps that the average person installs for the unsuspecting and unwanted guests 🤣) The gardens front and back are OK, but, not to my standards or liking, so landscaping will be a fun job to start getting into, so when spring is sprung I'll do a heap of planting, lots of natives and vegetables is the plan, the old owners were more "Old English Garden" type, so basically Roses and other weird looking things that are destined for the green waste bin One thing that is staying garden wise is a nice established hedge out the front, it is about 5 foot tall and covers the whole front of the property from prying eyes As for the car hoist, the roof in the garage has some height to it, but, I'll need to get an installer out to see what can be done, width wise may be a issue, but my building inspector will be getting back to me over the next week with his recommendations  Small, but cosy
    • I tried to get in contact before I went to QLD you didn’t respond, then I tried to contact you in r31 club.  I thought you fell off the earth or something haha.  I will grab it off you but unknown when I will be up that way
    • I think that might be in the question. He is going very low, and I think the standard GTR ones are simple tripod joints (like the rear NA/S chassis ones), not proper CVs (like R chassis turbo/GTR ones). Proper CVs take the misalignment better than tripods.
