On mine theres a sliding bar and it starts off as average value of vehicle in the middle, the higher I slide it the more value it's worth but the premium goes up and if I adjust the value of my car down then the premium goes down....

Just done a little while ago...

Shannons - 24 yrs old - R32 GTR - All mods (i dont really know what they are i just told him heaps of gear) - Premium $1300 - Excess $400 insured for $25,000

Due to having limited drive time and being locked in a shed like fort knox it came down a bit. The guy on the phone told me to re-negotiate the premium etc when i turn 25 (3 months)

Not too shabby

hello.how much would it cost for r34 gtr insurance in adelaide?

What suburb?

How is it secured at home?

How old are you?

Any offences?

What rating are you?

Have you adjusted the excess to lower/raise premium?

What modifications are on the car?

Put all this info into any online quote from the usual insurance companies and youll get your answer.

Hey guys,

You all sound lucky...

I have Fire and Theft through SGIC which costs me 55.98 per month.

I'm 22 years of age, never had a crash, drive an R33 Coupe GTS-t and they will only cover me for $5000.00 if the car gets stollen :(

Can't wait to turn 25!!!!

Once i have the money i plan to pay up front for Just Car insurance...

Please let me know if you have got any ideas...

Cheers

Jamie have you tried other insurance companies? Just car's and Shannons insure a lot of imports. Might be worth while giving those companies a call mate. I was only 21 when i had my R33 S1 insured with Shannons, then made the switch to Just Car's because they just ended up giving me a way better deal.

So call up the 2 companies now :D

Cheers for that krishy,

As far as I know though shannons won't touch me until I'm 25yrs old :(

I tried just car but they want the money up front which I am now saving for but keep spending the money on other things... Haha

called sgic today to ask how much full comp is for my car... They informed me that it will cost $157.00 a month and will only cover me for the max of 8100.00 :( time to change!!!

I have never had a car crash...

Cheers for your help...

    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
    • Mine is all -12, I’m running a dry sump in a billet block though
