HAHA after Tokyo Drift there were idiots in VR's with tha chopped springs mate trying to powerslide everywhere - drifting in itself was pretty unknown here until that movie came out.

God knows what sort of driving the next one will provoke.

I REALLY hope it dosen't mean that there will be even more morons buying Skylines who otherwise would have stuck to VL Turbo's or XR8s.

I do hope that the writers of the movie can continue to create such thought provoking and utterly quoteable dialogue though!

I remember organizing cruises in Brisbane when the originals were at the movies and thereafter.

Was always good to start the night off with a laugh

"Alright Alright lets light em up..... we go live in 5!!!!!!!'' lol

Here's to providing another 5 years of internet fun ripping apart the most well known car movie franchise ;)

As long as the black guy from the second is no where near this film I will be happy. That goes for the guy from tokyo drift aswell...

What ridiculously annoying song will be released for this movie?

Anyone notice the r34 smokin it up on the brake in the trailer? Deffo a 2wd model :domokun: Still Cool Tho

The 2F2F had the R34 GTR with the FWD disconnected, it actually had a (claimed) 13second quarter mile time due to this, they have the car on display at there studios in LA.

Not surprised that the new one also has the front wheel drive disconnected

some pictures of the cars in the new one:

looks like a R35GTR will make an appearance?? but a few nice ones going to be shown.

I liked the first one and tokyo drift, the 2nd one just pissed me off in parts and how could the main cars be an evo (not so bad) and an eclipse  wayyyy to much crome in the 2nd one as well

Here here! It was all Pimp my Ride style meets P plater specials.

No offence P platers out there!

I remember watching an interview they did with Paul Walker back when 2 fast 2 furious was about to be released where he said he owned a r34 gtr and was thinking of getting, or already had, a second r34 gtr.

Its about time they had a gtr as a main car but at least they had the engine in tokyo drift....

Pretty sure the engine was an SR20? Someone stop me if i'm wrong.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
