Here a tip. My Fiance says if you buy a $100 coles gift card it is all profit as they don't have to pay for product to sell, so Fire appeal gets $100 you get $100 gift card you can use to pay for your shopping instead of cash, then fire appeal gets another hit up of profit cash from your shopping!

Makes sense but not sure if gift cards are classed in this thing or not.

Lol, neither do I, but it would be cool if it were true.

our work donated 100k and we have a fundraiser today as well and our HR dept has arranged for special payments to be arranged from peoples wages (whatever people authorise to be taken out (1 hours worth of wage a day or at whatever people specify) pretax to be donated.

We'll go to the coles one this Friday, then to the safeway one on the 20th plus donate about 100 cash.

every bit helps

spent $150 on friday night at caroline springs coles

also took me the missus and 3 friends to bunnings and made them all eat sausage sizzle from there as weel because the cash all goes to the bush fire thing . . . . . and any excuse to go to bunnings lol

We hit the local Coles, queues were big but am sure it was worth it. Will be great to get a final figure as so many other people were there for the same thing. I also set a deductions scheme out of staff pays at work too, either once off or payment reducing over 4 weeks. All for a very worthy cause.

I worked 9 hours at Coles on Friday and it was absolutely hectic. Worse than Christmas or Easter. Basically all the staff were at the service area all day, regardless of what department you were in. People went nuts too, bought like 5 years supply of tooth paste, etc. Saw several ~$1000 orders go through my register alone. I work at one of the bigger Coles stores, with 13 registers, and every single one (excluding the 3 express) had at least 10 trolleys lined up.

I will say this though, despite the monster lines that filled the fresh produce area, blocked the deli off and forced people to wait nearly half an hour to reach the register; no one complained. Everyone was in good spirits, polite, friendly and patient.

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
