Good luck mate, a guy passed through about a year and a half ago, buying every c210 he could get his hands on. he started in townsvill he reckoned. and was making his way to adelaide. they were all being shipped to adelaide, stirpped down to shells to save weight and sent to Saudi arabia. true story. he bought my two sight unseen and would have taken the third had i not sent it to scrap the week before(it was crashed)

but seriously, i hope you find one. i really wish i never sold mine.

cheers

Jason

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows offhand around what % these cars were released as manual?

Where they released with the round and square headlights? Which are more common?

Are they known as a 240k or a skyline?

Are they all IRS?

I'm new to classic skylines so bare with me,

thanks jarryd

yea i met him once on the highway and we pulled over and had a chat (RANDOM!!!). he has 17 or so i believe. he said he is making them all into replica famous race cars. it's actually pretty damn cool what he's doing.

he seriously had 3 A4 folders full of photos on hand to show me some of his cars and the cars he is going to make replicas of. gave me some great ideas!

The 240k and the C210 are different cars in Australia; however, oddly, I have some advertising material, like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Datsun-Skyline-240K-...A1%7C240%3A1318

that refer to what we'd call the C210 as a 240k.

In Australia the 240k body shape was from 73-77 (look for a metal grill), the C210 was 78-79 (look for plastic grill with round twin headlights) and the C211 80-81 (plastic grill with square headlights).

At a guess the ratio of C210s to C211s is around 20:1. Auto to manual early skylines are about 50/50.

There are plenty of people (like myself) who have assisted in sending early Skylines to the Middle East, where they have cult status, who have gone on to regret it - as these Skylines have become substantially harder to find in Australia over the last three years. Infuriatingly, large numbers of skylines that didn't make it to Kuwait etc. have been long since sent to scrap metal locally.

Despite all of this, early Skylines still pop up now and then... and happily, they often end up in the hands of enthusiasts, rather than randoms.

Ive driven past those cars for the last 5 odd years, when I first seen the coupe it was mint, then It dissapeared for awhile now its back at where it resides.

Was always tempted to knock and ask about em, but after seeing the price tag, might give it a miss.

Works 510, all i did was stop in and say hi lol now look im trying to sell them for him!

well the guy is keen as to sell the sedan now, give him a call i think it had a/c as well, should be able to get it for $800, he wants the money and room to work on his coupe,

i doubt he will move much on the price of the coupe at the moment, maybe later in the year if it keeps sitting there, its not actually rusty, the bonnet is but he has a replacement, but all the other panels look quite good, and the paint looks original the way the clear is peeling off! lol

as more of these cars get picked up buy guys like us the days of cheep good cars are numbered, he sold the last coupe he had to the middle east, so he knows what they pay i guess he wants about the same.

Can you remember what sort of state the sedan was in? The pics dont really show how rusty she is or what state the interior is in. Always handy to have a spare white skyline with a black interior, when you own... err, a white skyline with a black interior. Cheers

    • I'm selling my personal race car. 1992 BNR32 Skyline GT-R About eight years ago the engine developed the dreaded low oil pressure problem. I removed it and found the issue. However shortly after I moved half way across the country, moved my work shop, bought a house, got married, then moved my shop again to it's permanent location for the time being. in turn I do not have the time to race this car as it should be. In turn the engine I built for this car will end up in my street car and this car I hope finds a home with someone who can use it to it's full potential. The roll bar was built by Jason Noren Fabricaiton in Pomona California to SCCA and NASA Specs. The car used to compete in redline time attack and global time attack enthusiast class. It also has a fire suppression system.  The car is with me at my workshop in Kyle Texas, USA. Shipping it is no problem, I can personally deliver the car to the port of either Houston or Los Angeles. Any other port depending on where it is may require transport but we can always work that out.   The chassis itself is rust free, rear quarters and under fenders are free of any rust so it's a very solid foundation for anyone who wishes to move forward with it. As posted and at the asking price of $20,000 USD the car includes all of the following;   All OEM Body panels, front fenders, rear bumpers etc.  OEM Nissan Projector headlamps (Pictured N1 lamps were removed) OEM Nismo Side Skirts / Extensions OEM Rear Spats  Front & Rear Subframes are installed car is full roller Rear Subframe has Cusco Camber Arms, Whiteline HICAS Elimination Front Subframe has Whiteline tension rods and whiteline Sway bars w/ endlinks.  Buddy Club N1 Coilovers All chassis wiring and engine wiring is in tact. Attessa System is fully in tact and was functional before engine removal.  BCNR33 GT-R Brembo Brakes F+R with Endless MX72 Plus Pads, DBA Rotors & Stainless Steel Brake lines Billion Racing Radiator Billion Radiator Hoses Fluidyne Engine Oil Cooler Accusump System (trunk Mounted) 5 Speed Transmission w/ Transfer Case F+R Prop-shafts Rear Differential With rear Axles.  Nismo Gauge Cluster Nismo Clutch + Flywheel   Essentially what is needed to make this car running and driving again is as follows: A working Engine, an ECU, and time to put it together. The price posted is or best offer as I am willing to remove some components to accommodate price to a certain extent. If any serious buyer wants full detailed pictures, videos, or any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I believe this car is priced to move quickly considering it's a rust free and very straight chassis but always open to fair negotiation.  I can be contacted via phone or email. • So...to my (and my mechanics doing the swap) surprise...the oil pan from NEO engine does not fit 100% and needs to by modified like this: It is not a huge problem but in the future i want a "proper" oil pan. So question is...what different oil pan can i get to fit without any problems and modification? Thanks!
    • Some more info I found.  These are the last entries Yoshikiyo Fujii made on his blog before he passed away in 2009: http://blog.livedoor.jp/fujii_dynamics/ And finally this is where the workshop was situated:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhTPtHzt3WVcBTiEA
