I am looking to purchase a 99 R34-GTR as a company car. I have been told to expect $75-80k for an import. No idea what a local one would cost. Is there any importers to stay away from? Any help/suggestions would be greately appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The best R34 GTR's (and possibly only) I've seen in a yard are all at Powerplay Imports in Sydney. They're a great bunch of people there and were more than helpful when I went there to look at a car with a friend of mine :(

Duncan bought his car through them so should be able to let you know what their service is like post-sale as well :)

Also note that you still can't import them yet. Last word I heard was it was still going to be "up to 20 weeks away" for a GTR R34.

So dealerships are a difficult place to find a R34 right now. But powerplay have 3 R34's but the cheapest is $118K up to $170K!

how are the prices over at poweplay! pretty pricey imho! its wonder that yellow GTT hasnt moved off the lot for this long...

i personally haven't seen any bnr34's along parrammatta rd - between the city and strathfield. i know there are a few more car yards down towards homebush-auburn area so you might try your luck there...

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
