Hey Guys,

Want to see something different?

Go have a look at ebay item # 2471197734

Came out to this country in 89 as U12 Pintara.

This is 86 Bluebird SSS, pillarless etc, etc. & great price if you got somewhere to put it if & when you fiddle with it.

you don't happen to have a spare tailgate strip, like the one in that pic?

A boot lip garnish eh! well that should be fun.

With Skyline on it??????? or otherwise???

How you holding for "Rocking Horse Sh1t, or Tits for a Bull, or Hens Teeth"?????

OK guys,

Special for all you people with Hatch R30's.

I have a Jap imported hatch up for grabs, not the car, just the rear hatch. Great condition, complete with wiper & motor. I paid $350.00 for it, but I'm in for offers.

Talk to me.

hehe i take that as a no... yeh the one with skyline on it!!!

They are PNV ONLY, to the best of my knowledge and as there is only about 5 in the country, you got no chance.

BUT! if you were able to come up with GENUINE of what I suggested, I might have been tempted to take mine off, as I would have made a killing selling the other.

']i dont use my aircon neway so i dont mind losing it on my DR30. its still there atm tho til i get big FMIC in. i just wind the windows down!

power windows ... would be good but meh its not that bad and if you want them, just go to an alarm fitter place and theyll get u the solenoids and chuck em in hooked up to your alarm for a couple of hundred or so, no big deal.

u sure yours doesnt have power steering? well i mean i guess u'd know lol. hm no power ive read does suck, very heavy steering. mine is 83, does have power steering. its a heavy power steering (i.e. u cant palm the wheel or anything like that) and u gota realy grab hold of it if u intend to turn a corner sharply with one hand, but i guess itd be better than no power steering.

but power steering cant even be that much to get?

i spose its up to you,. .. thats what seperates car owners i guess. i went from a Mirage (96) to an S13 sil80 (92) to the DR30  (83) and i dont mind it. never use aircon (uses more fuel and takes power) so i can live with it. the DR is more raw but i like that in a car.

though i do sometimes think that the outside look/"coolness" of the car that people perceive does become a bit tarnished when you actually own it yourself. (becomes more of a hassle and u notice things more than just its rarity and "angry" looks =])

just take some newer cars for a spin and see i guess? though remember youll probably never own one again or anyone you know so make sure ur over it before you sell it ... plenty of time for boring "modern" cars when your old and have a family! :D

power steering is a straight swap from a mr30, i dont have ps on mine and at low speed -40kms/h its heavy above that its a one finger job, go figure!! i have this car and a daily driver so that is something of a releaf as i can work on the r30 and do everything else day to day, not without a car, one thing that got me to get the r30 was 1150kgs with plenty of under bonnet room for the little essentals, quad cam v8, if i wanted. add the mod cons and you add weight 1250kgs for the dr30 intercooled turbo...

You not read to good or somethin?????

Read sign next to lights, then you see where come from!!!!!!!

You not interested in my deal???????????????

they are also on 83-84 dr30s' the lights that is. my mates 4door has the badge on the dash as well...

anyone want a "datsun" badge for there r30. i have one for a hatch :nowigetit

how much camber do you guys have on your cars?? :bat:

does anyone know if there is a difference in the spacing for the calipar mounting points on the dr30 and the hr30 as i'm looking at the jenesis front coilovers and they are not inserts but the whole thing just put on your rotors and calipars

rsx84 yeah I was going to find some nice Datsun badges for mine

i'll post up a pic for ya... :/

it would be the ultimate street sleeper though.. just think you pull up beside this sweet looking r30 hatch and the first thing you see is DATSUN.....

Better with nothin! mine has DOHC RS on the right side (driver's) of the boot lid & RS or GT badges on the front guards and Skyline across the boot lid lip.

It doesn't say Nissan, or Datsun anywhere on the car other than PNV on the seats and down the side.

i only have the r/s badges on the front guards, will look for a dohc rs for the rear and try to get a r32 gts-t badge for the bonnet, passenge side on the front lip of the iron mask....other than that its just the badge on the steering wheel..

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
