To the SAU group of members,

I would just like to say it has been a fantastic 3-4 years contributing to this excellent site. I have met and made friends with many on the site in and around Brisbane. SAU has got to be the most respectable and largest forum that I know, where there is a large wealth of information ready at your finger tips.

It is time for me to depart from the forums for a little while, maybe a couple of years. I recently sold the R32, the second one I owned, and now have moved on into the rotary world.

May you all enjoy your rides and keep developing this site more on top of what it already is.

Peace and farewell,

00MFG (Arbess)

Which chook cooker did you go for mate.........I like the Series 4 RX7's (shape) although the interiors look real oldschool

You know you will be back...........It will go well for a while and then blow up. Then you will miss the reliability of your old 32 :D

Good luck mate :D , we will be here when you come back.........

LOL @ your replies.... your supposed to wish me well.

But yes there will be a time where I will consider the RB's again. Though when people say reliability of the RB's, I would agree but only to the extent of the engine itself, the remaining car itself can be questionable.

Yes I am in an RX-8 and wait for it................................................ warrranty........................................... cheap insurance.................................... and lots of head turns for the possies out there.

I will try and head out to events as the rx8 club seems a little "inactive" and the boostcrusing club are a bunch of "[insert imaginative word here]".

Look out for me if and when I come back because it will NOT be in a 32 or 33, nor will I be in single turbo set up, as per usual.

My departing quote is "With great power comes great brakes" - Superman with boost.

RX8 mmmmmmm is it pink or yellow and have you put the frangapani on the back lol............. :)

Very nice car but yes I agree underpowered.......Pity they didn't boost it like the last one.....a factory turbo version would have sold well

Apparently they do handle very well judging by the reviews I have read about them over the years.......

Start looking for gearbox conversions if your hard on the gear. Now I've been there and done that with rb powered street car (2007-2022) much prefer newer stuff. Anything 90's Japanese is not a great experience these days and highly over rated. My 2015 Brz with a heap of suspension mods is such a better car even with out the power of my old s chassis' even on track. If wanting to play light chassis and decent power for a  giggle a k swap 86/brz would be the go Check my old build for engine stuff I really need to pay attention to post 2016 BMW stuff but seem all very heavy 1600+kg
    • I mean, the 240i is not a Supra... make it drop a few hundred kg, have a sportscar chassis, clearance for wheels etc... Maybe I want a hardtop Z40i XDrive or something :p I do agree with you though and have long said the B58 Supra/240i/340i/440i is the new R Chassis/JDM90's turbo rocket for mod lovers to ... not always appreciative response lol. Doesn't make it not true though.
    • I will do the build myself but I will be paying for the tune because I don't know how much about that and would rather it be done right and by a professional
    • Will you build and tune it yourself or do you need to pay for labour?
    • Mechanically that's essentially what the M240i is, it's just not pretending it's not a BMW
