Have a look at Bakes black R34 GTR .. not sure of exact rim model but they ain't cheapies, i believe you're looking at around $4k for such rims oh and they're gold and I reckon his is the best looking R34 on SAU and I'm sure many people would agree.

As for sizes... 19" looks good on a GTR but looks silly on a GTT no matter what your kit is. You do realize that you rolling diameter must remain the same as the factory 17"s right ? Which means, if you go 19" rims, you would have to use extremely low profile rubber and that means very harsh ride and looks like shit, but each to their own. Oh and 19" rubber can cost 50% more than 18" rubber, which is already expensive as it is if you buy anything half decent.

If you want cheaper rims that look good on a black GTT check out the DTM Rush Shadow Silver (or anything in the DTM range for that matter) .. they're about $1400 delivered in 18". I recommend 18x8.5" fronts and 18x9.5" +35 rears for a GTT. There's a trader on SAU who supplies these. I have these rims on my black GTT and they look tops (stole the idea from someone else on here! :D ) the only difference is I have 8.5" rears too which is a bummer, wished I bought 9.5" for the rears.

Yeah go 18's, i got 18's very happy with them on mine

p.s - Hi Denis ,these are the 9.5s :D

gday dave, looks tops .. I love your front conversion but I'm sure I've said that before many a time :D I should have listened to you when you said 9.5" rears ..grrr, I have only myself to blame. I thought if I got 8.5" rears I'd be able to rotate them with fronts and save some money on rubber, but now I'd prefer the wider rears over an extra few months out of the tyres..

My budget is between 2.5-3k maybe more if i wait a bit longer... i definetly dont want 17's. i want the rears 9.5 wide fronts 8.5. I like some of the pics u guys have put up, to be honest im scared of going gold duno why, ive seen bakes car and yeh its hot, but man its a gtr, theres not many wheels that will make any gtr crap lol. Somethin black i have confidence in, white im more hesitant than gold.

i like 6 spoke wheels, if i could get these i would but i cant find anyone that can get em and i have a good feeling there out of my budget by a bit:

Thanks for the kind comments Delta Force, I appreciate it.

1RE4SON, you might be able to pick up some second hand Gold GTC's staggered at the right price. And dont forget they are 2 piece wheels so if you get bored with the gold colour you can always get the centres painted black or whatever.

Here is my ride:

In that pic, they are pretty much Rays Engineering Volk Racing TE 37's.

BTW there is Gold and Bronze, don't get both confused.

If you scared of Gold, go Bronze, it looks just as good.

Cool!

If your going to kit up the car and going for show, chuck some 19's on it, ive seen some R34's around having 18's with full kit and sometimes it looks too small like the cars rolling on 17inch or something..all depends on which kit i guess...but 19's will give the bodykit some good clearance from the ground..

20's is just too crazy..

but if you want to take the car to track and do all the goodies, 18's the way to go.

maybe some Works?

think these are 19's

GT-C's look good tho, think you got the same kit as this one Julz?

Response has been awesome guys thanks a lot, viet boi yeh thats the front bar i have. got some z tune sides n pods to go on also. but kit wont go on for a lil while, ill get the wheels and suspension sorted before anything else, and enjoy the simple look for a bit.

I like the meisters in chrome, theres not many chrome wheels that i would chuck on. but there hot, only thing is, is that i kno theres a black wingless 34 already with them on in perth and wouldnt feel comfortable having the same look even tho it looked cool. His were 17's, last time i heard he was selling for the same in 18's i think. has his car in the 34's photo thread.

I loved my old rims on my old yellow 34, but sold the car and got the black 34 cos the yellow was a N/A. yes we live and learn..

anyway messin around with paint i tried drawing the kit on my last car to see what it would look like and i have to say its pretty much how i want it to look like, wheels are 19''. I put up 2 pics one is the original photo the other is my edit, now is there anyone that can make the yellow colour turn to black with their photoshop skillz??

that way i can see how the wheels look against the black body with the kit i have. Then i can play around with paint again and try other rim styles n colours. thanks!

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
