lol Jim, shafting just 1 member on this forum has cost you dearly (your livelihood).

No more will you trade successfully in this country as you were found out in VIC then NSW and now SA (thanks to Iron Chef for bringing this to my attention).

Don't even think about flogging your dirty wares on the SA site!

Normally I'm dead against slandering any business in a public forum (and will delete any such posts) but this isn't slander, this is truth, backed up by the naive & illiterate proprietor himself.

Oh man... a dodgy trader publicly humiliating himself in such a way, smearing his name and the reputation of his workshop, and significantly reducing his clientele base trying to rip off a poor guy for a couple of grand, then "maturely" blasting everyone for exposing his not-so-cunning plan. :/

Couldn't have been better scripted. Would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

ive still got that R33 GTR abc-spec.. it comes with an SR20DET tuned by ralliart from america as well as ferrari buckets from the tata factory. the interior is spotless with only a few moderatly sized tears and a few white spots in the back( couldnt resist myself when i bought my new horse) the bodywork is excellent. the large dents are infact vents to chanel air to my subs so they can put out an additional 40kw's

oh my... :/

I would like to inform everyone about the lies, verbal abuse and shocking treatment I have received from Jim at OH Performance.

Firstly, I enquired about this car looking for a quick hassle free transaction. I received the VIN and engine number so that I could confirm all the details advertised.

Babyskyline(a forum member) then ran these through Nissan FAST only to find that the car was in fact a February 1995 V-Spec even through he was bieng advertising this as a 1996 V-Spec with an Nismo Built Engine.

I called and confronted him about these discrepancies and the fact it was not a genuine S-Tune. He said that R33 GTR's Nismo S-Tunes never had the red painted rocker covers, but the engine has the letter 'S' on the block so it must be real. In fact he said only the R32 and R34 GTR's had these red painted rocker covers and the placard in the engine bay. Then I asked him why doesnt it have a placard in the engine bay saying it was built in the Omari factory by Nismo? He didnt have an answer for that one! But he still insisted it was a genuine S - Tune. Unbelievable, this guy just wouldn't give up!

Also I confronted him regarding the fact that the front may have been in some sort of accident since all the front end parts had been repaired, to which his reply was "Its hard to find a car this old these days which hasnt been in some sort of accident". Obviously it had been in an accident.

Even after all this I was still wanting to meet up and at least take a look at the car, so I messaged him again and asked to meet up over the long weekend any time and I would come down to him. He didnt reply to me, and said he has to ask him wife and get back to me. Fair enough.

I smelt a scam though and I sensed that he was afraid I was on to him, so just to be sure I had my mate call him and try to organise a time to meet up during the weekend(without questioning the validity of his claims).

Guess what, he was happy to meet the next day! Obviously he was trying to avoid me because I was questioning his lies and he didnt want them to be uncovered.

I messaged him and told him that he was very rude for at least not replying to message and that if he didn't want to sell the car he shouldn't of advertised it.

He then called back and advised me that he was "out of reach" on the weekend, even though he admitted he received my message. Then his excuse was that he was "very busy". After all this he still didnt even apologise!

I didnt care, I just wanted to meet up and buy the car even though the alarm bells should have been ringing by now and telling me to just walk away.

So he agreed to meetup the next evening, BUT again lies! The next morning I got a message saying "Car has been sold, thanks for the free add on SAU about the car mate".

I knew this was just another lie and replied "Mate, I highly doubt the car has been sold. Furthermore you need to learn some manners, you are just a timewaster."

His reply back was "Another Tosser".

Then proceeded to send other message saying "I know its just that you didnt have enough money to buy the car, so maybe just buy an R31 like your forum mates said."

I didnt reply to this message, and I though I would just leave it since this guy obviously has some serious issues.

I would strongly advise AGAINST anyone ever dealing with Jim from OH Performance, also I would not recommend ever taking your car to his workshop as the way he treats prospective customers is absolutely disgusting. I would hate to think how he treats real paying customers.

Finally, all I can say is thank god for SAU and Nissan FAST!

I really dodged a bullet with this one.

I wonder how many times Jim has been on A Current Affair in a sting showing off his slimy tactics? .... How can he even still be in business? Pity the poor fool that buys anything off this blatant liar.

Top thread, top read.....

OH Performance has been mega dodgy for a long time.

I remember back in the day (2004-2005) when he had an orange S15 w/RB26 and an M-Sports Kit. I think it had a HKS T51 in it?

Anyway, it would do 2 laps then f**k up and be back on the trailer back to the workshop EVERY MEET.

How are the "HKS" Intercoolers going mate.... still welding them up in the workshop using cut down truck cores?

If you had any business sense and were not a scam artist - you would and could have made a lot of money given you were in the industry early.

Im supprised you haven't pissed off the wrong people and have been paid back for it.

VIC's fastest GTR? Pfft, in your dreams buddy.....

This reminds my of when RGV250 motorbikes were hot property and now its japanese cars....I see a striking resemblance here.....there was a guy by the same name that went "on a holiday" back then.....hmmmmm.....we dont know andrew from MPR do we jim?????;)

If it is ok with the moderators.

I would like Jim/OH Performance to be barred from trading on the SAU forums.

I would also like a case to be raised with the ACCC or office of fair trading for this obvious false advertising.

I would also like to recommend a call the ACA to knock on his door and uncover the years of BS he has been trying to sell and never deliever on.

Then he well see what a real tosser is!

    • Good tips, will get on those tomorrow. When doing the maintenance I did move a few of those connectors around, and things that are old tend to not like moving around. (Like me).
    • Don't try it. It will be shit. Better chance of damaging the engine than gaining any knowledge about the old one. Maybe, but unlikely, especially if the O2 sensor is working. You can use NissDataScan to look at the stock ECU.   Cleaning the AFM is seldom necessary and seldom helps. The R35 coil & loom conversion should eliminate dud coils or plugs. But as you still have misses - look to the plug where the coil loom connects to the engine loom, and the CAS plug. Need quality connections there. Also look to injector plugs. And the AFM plug while you're at it. Also look to whether your injectors are clean and flowing evenly. Get them out and onto a testbench.
    • Good to know, I feel like I am in for a rollercoaster ride that looks like a sine wave.
    • You'll fit right in. Acceptance is the first step.
    • Hey folks. I've been lurking and browsing the forum for a while, since I got into my head that I wanted a skyline. Having purchased an overpriced completely stock GTT, (only "mods" it has is HKS pod filter and catback) now that it became legal in the US, it was all glorious and sututu noises here and there. But then I wanted to do things right and went to do basic maintenance. After all the fluids, filters done, I did the spark plugs, that's when the problems started.. First the car started spluttering at around 4.5k RPM. Which I gapped down the new plugs and that solved the sputter there, but the car now always misfires at idle with pops when lifting off and shifting 2nd to 3rd. Similar to the issues in this recent thread. I've been banging my head against the wall, reading the threads here and trying suggestions for a couple months now, so decided to start this one to explain exactly what I tried and what is going on. The symptoms of the issue: Idle and low revs misfiring intermittently. You can hear the exhaust tone change and the shakes on the shifter knob. It happens frequently, but doesn't seem to have a rhythm to it. Pops when backing off throttle. It pops and or burbles almost feels like it spits fire when it pops. (Happens mostly in 3rd gear at around 2k RPM). When under load and after 6k RPM, it also pops when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. There's a ticking noise at around 2k RPM in 2nd gear going downhill, seems unrelated though but I am out of educated and downright dumb guesses. Not noticeable lack of power when putting the car into load. The attempted diagnosis and solutions: Unplugging coils when the car is running This did nothing to change the idling and tone shift for every cylinder. Checking the exhaust headers with thermometer They all are within what I'd say it is margin of error of the laser thermometer New spark plugs Tossed two new sets, copper, iridium and using the old ones, still misfiring, even re gapped to 0.8mm, still same thing. MAF cleaned with the "specific" spray cleaner No changes in the issues what so ever. Brand new loom and r35 coil conversion (was going to add the r35 coils anyway) car runs arguably better, still misfires, but seems like does less frequently. Placebo? Code 21 now being thrown, thanks nissan gods. Removed the CAS to check the shaft for play or anything. CAS seems all fine, nothing that indicates any issue, visually speaking. Things to attempted next: Ordered a new MAF (chinesium from Amazon, to be able to return regardless of result). Fuel with proper gas, maybe it is this California water that they sell as gas that is to blame? Plugin the link ECU and check the info using the built in base map. Go back to BMW and eat my rob bearing breakfast without milky oil mixture.   Do any of you have experienced anything like this or have any suggestion?
