Anyone know of anyone else selling, or looking to sell a decent 33 GTS-T or 34 GT-T in Canberra? Hell, if the price is right maybe even a 33 GT-R, but that's a stretch these days.

So far I've come across http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...al-t256496.html

What's the general price for a 34 GT-T with no mods? (disregarding location)

The only other 2 cars that caught my eye so far have been a '97 GTS-T in Sydney, pretty much the same as what I had before, and JD's GTS-T, which I would be all over like cake if it weren't an auto...although it is BLOODY nice considering.

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help out

Hi Troy,

Are you after a Series 2 R33 in particular? I know of a local Gun Metal grey R33 (series 1) for reasonable price with mods.

If you do a search for the user "GunMetalR33", it should bring up some links about it. He's had it for sale for a while now.

Edit: Just did a search and it seems his For Sale isn't to be found. He has it for sale on the Defence forums and I also have an email I can forward if interested.

Being relatively new to Skylines myself, I don't actually know the differences between series 1 and 2...lol

If you could forward any information on the car to [email protected] I would much appreciate it, and if anyone could give me a really rough breakdown on major differences between the series :D

Thank

Time and resources. I can't do the work myself, even if I wanted to. I'd also have to source a gearbox, clutch, etc etc, which would probably take a while assuming I didn't just buy them new :D

How much would a conversion cost assuming I have none of the needed parts myself? Inclusive of labour, considering I can't do it lol

Hi Troy,

Just sent you the information I have on the Skyline Andrew is selling.

Not much difference between the Series 1 and 2 once they are modified. This one already has a VeilSide kit and GTR wing etc on it so you would only pick it as a Series 1 by the TPS having only 1 connector on it instead of 2 and the rear garnish is clear instead of the body colour.

Just so you can get comments off other guys here as well Troy I'll post up the specs:

Seems VERY cheap, a little too cheap tbh...what's his reason for selling?

Man, i forgot about this thread... sorry mate.

Andrew has had the car for at least 5 years that I can remember. He has been trying to sell it for about 1 and a half years i think..

He's now selling because he bought a motorbike which gives him a bigger grin than his skyline did.

Heh fair enough. Unfortunately when I called him after reading the email you sent me, it'd already sold.

Not to worry though, there's 2 good looking R33s and an R34 in Sydney I want to check out, and another R33 s1 here in Canberra...

a mate of mine has an R34 GTT for sale, its a 5 speed coupe, white, factory nismo body kit, eyelids, hks bov, had a new genuine coilpack or 2 a few months ago and it has new (fitted about 2 months ago but hardly driven on) 20" AU racing wheels, they're black 5 spoke with nice big shiney dish and 225/30/20 falken 452 tyres (all fitted by me). also comes with the stock GTT wheels with good nexen tyres.

basically it's stock as, no mods besides what's above, have a dyno printout from the last sau dyno day at esp too, made 168kw, stock as a rock.

i'm pretty sure he wants $24 000 ono, his number is 0447374540 and his name is andy, give him a call after about 6pm any day if you're interested.

D.

Buy Chubbsey's!!

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...st-t256203.html

I've known both the owners of this car... the owner before Chubbs was our ex SAU President (an older guy with a kid), and always treated it very well.

  • 4 weeks later...

Standard as though, apart from a cat back exhaust and air filter (both came with it) 128,000kms on the clock, 100k service completed and thats a FULL service. PK

lol good to see ppl are keeping this thread alive, thanks for all the help

I was contacted a few weeks back from a private seller in QLD (hey look, he posted a few posts back ^^^) regarding his GTST he was trying to get rid of.

More or less what we came down to was too good to pass up. I was about ready to deal with driving my cloud for a while, and resume the search later on, but after looking into this one a bit further...needless to say, as of today you might be seeing a bit of purple around town. well, more purple...k

    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
