Zennon - nice concept i like it.. esp that first one.. But i wish the shutter speed was a tad slower.

yeah that would have been cool - but yeah - was hand held at 200mm while leaning over a fence while standing on another fence - so yeah - wasn't gonna happen :)

Did like nothing on the weekend and took almost no photo's, but did get a snap of this guy. Image has been flipped vertically as he was sitting on the roof.

I like it as it almost looks like he has this expression of the surprised face of msn messenger (similar to this one :))

Nice one. Not using a tripod?

Should have put the front wheels on a slight angle to show em off ;)

yes i was using a tripod for this. does it not look like it?

I find my wide angle lens is crap in low light so needs a longer exposure as well as a flash to bring the detail up, or else it can come out soft.

thanks for the tip on the wheels :teehee: , I thought exactly the same thing when I viewed it on my comp lol. TBH I was just out trying new settings / methods and angles, didn't expect to be able to use any of the pics as the car was filthy, but to my suprise it didn't show up :D

Zennon some great shots there mate.

ugh I should have known you were using a tripod lol.. forgot about the whole chopped bonnet/engine hahah. There is a bit of blur in the pictures which is what made me think about it.. using a shutter release cable or just pressing the button to snap the photo? If your just pressing the button thats probably what it was from.

Yeah I always forget to check some of the basic things like which way the wheels are facing, what shaddows are on the car, whats poking up behind the car etc etc untill I get home and notice on the pc.. I find myself scanning all over the viewfinder when taking a photo more and more now though, it starts to become second nature.

Just keep trying and practicing thats what its all about :D

Cali if you want super sharp and you dont have a cable release/remote try using timer

Here are a few pix from the recent test n tune day at wanneroo

OK was on the way to gym today and i noticed i accidentally left the camera in the car. So out it came.. pulled over randomly at places on the way.

No tripod so yes i know some images arent level etc..

some images were taken from inside the car lol...

When i get more time i will do it properly.. but anyways some fun images :D

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
