can i enter in my n/a or will i look stupid?

Do it! You'll have so much fun.

The skidpan is concrete and you're not allowed to sit there doing a static burnout, so I think your tyres should live :)

haha ok im in then :) quick question how much abuse do the tyres take? will i need to bring 2 spare?

well if you plan on doing this:

yes

that said I looped it a few times at last deca and had some fun and you could not tell there was any extra wear on the tyres.

the skid pan is quite low grip so very difficult to damage your rubber.

A quick run down of the DECA weekend.

FRIDAY

Most people head up on Friday/Friday night at there own pace and time depending on when they can leave.

And there is a small group that wait till saturday morning and leave real early.

The people that go up on Friday have more time to play around with there cars if needed and can enjoy a couple

of beers and a chat with others and is a great way to meet people you may only know as users of the forum.

This time around Bec has arranged for us to stay at the Victoria Lakes Caravan Park. We have stayed there in the

past and i can remember when the lake had water in it. Now its a dry.. But you do need to ring and arrange your own cabin.

DECA..Accommodation...CLICK HERE..

SATURDAY

We get up and head to the Mc Donalds for some food then head out to DECA 5 min out of Shep. Gettig there around 8

WE do DECA bla bla bla and finish up around 4 ish i think.. Then we all HELP pack up... :O We really like people that help out.

Then we head back to the caravan park and knock back 2 or 3 beers before we head out to tea and have a look at the

Shep night life... :):):D:D:D Heading back to the park at what ever time.

SUNDAY

Head home....

sweet thanks, better take some stockys incase i get carried away :)

Yeah smart idea. I had to replace some tyres at the beaurepairs in shepo, lets just say it wasnt cost effective and i regret not bringing spares ;)

Faxed this arvo,

Maybe this will be my Deca debut with a handbrake? :D

Could be Sileighty devastating or could just be embarrassing when I loop it a thousand times.

hahaha sweet that should be funny....

hopefully i should be able to get mine sorted also....

looking forward to it... it should be a good day...

Good stuff rob, i was just going to facebook you and ask if you were competing again

What are you doing to your handbrake? tightening?

Ive got a pretty big list too, least its over a month away.

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
