Spoke to Nick(aka GoldZilla) on this last night....I am thinking we will extend the invite out to the C34's and others as we are all part of the same family of Volvo drivers! :D

P.S. Not that they were not invited in the first place!

Edited by Jetwreck

lol so

jetwreck pm me wat time u got in mindan well go from there :D

Just waiting on final list from Nick. Plus I want to give the c34's a chance to hook up....but I would say it will happen in the next week or so.

I am leaning towards a Sunday arvo though....say 4PM...then at least we get sunset, no traffic and it can hide all my paint imperfections...lol.

Danny, do you mind if I change the thread title to "NSW Stagea owners" to generate a bit more interest?

Can't support that idea

M35s are a totally different beast

I would support a separate M35 forum

We can't use the same mods

We can't use the same suspension

We have totally different cars

I fear you've misunderstood Nick's comment!

Nick is referring to changing the Topic of this particular thread as it is a general Stagea meet, not just M35's.

I read this as being for M35

There is already a general get together on Thursday nights

Yep, when you say that the Thursday night meets are a general meet, that's EXACTLY what it is, a general meet for anyone who wants to attend. In fact, it's not even an exclusively Skyline meet, and until recently when Xmetal, CL11QE, zei20l, Bis-e Bee, Jetwreck and andy65b (and a few others) occasionally started to show up, I was the ONLY Stagea there...

Correct me if I'm wrong, Danny, but the whole intention of this meet was to gather Stagea drivers together for a chat and a put-faces-to-screennames style gathering. His intention might have initially been to gather M35 drivers together to compare cars and discuss mods, but I don't think he meant it to be totally exclusive of C34 drivers.

I think I know where you're coming from too, Michael, but Stageas are rare enough that we should ALL be able to gather together and share experiences, even with the differences between models. I wouldn't try to exclude M35 drivers from anything I'd organise, Jetwreck and I discussed this the other night and he feels the same (although he likes to stir the pot :P), and I know that at least one C34 driver feels as though there is some "rivalry" between the M35 drivers and C34 drivers, and he doesn't like it...

That's pretty sad.

Yes the C34 & M35 are quite different, but we are all from the same family.

I don't think that a separate forum for M35's is necessary. Possibly separate sticky for mods and such but that's about it.

What about 260RS owners? They share bugger all in common with "standard" C34's (body notwithstanding).

At least most M35 threads are labeled as such.

    • Unless you're fortunate enough to buy a newer car, getting an older style plate to match your name/car is difficult because they've already been purchased.  Unlike other countries, personalised plates are locked to the country and not region, so there can't be multiple versions of the same plate but with a different area code.  Hope that helps
    • People use the numbers to make it look like letters to spell words/names, which is where the illegal spacing comes in. For example this GR Yaris

    • That's why I said it is a meaningless term. Because there is more than one meaning that people can apply to it. When we said "highflow", that is exactly what we mean, and exactly what is done. In a highflow, they take your housing and machine them out to take bigger wheels, have a better internal profile, etc etc, and fit a new core with the different/better/bigger wheels.
    • Oh sry i do not know if i used the term right. What i meant is upgrade the internals and keep the housing. That is not "hybrid"?
