Hi Sau NSW,

Im coming up for work next week, just wondering what i can do around the city and Parramatta,

I am stayin in town hall and working in Parramatta.

Cheer guys

firstly, where are you coming from? coz sydney may be very different.

secondly, have you been to Sydney before?

Id suggest to go to the night life areas in the city. Parramatta isnt the best place to be at night...put it that way.

Depends what sort of thing you're after mate. Do you want to know about nice pubs, clubs, restaurants, tourist activities...? Agreed on the above comment.. city is much better than Parramatta for night life. You havent got as far to roll home if you're staying in the city as well!

if you want to pick up and have fun the city is for you...

if you want to end up in hospital with out a watch,c/card,shoes,and any idea of what the f@$# hit you while you lay in the gutter then matamatta is for you.

i know what id be doing at 1pm on the week end........

lol

you should check out cabramatta ...lol

hahahaha,

yea i have been to sydney before last year, Im coming from Melb, I rather things to do at night after work during the week and in the city area.

Im 23 so clubs, bars are on the a agenda, night life activities are also possibility if there are anything special going on in the city centre.

I definitely wont b hangin around Parramatta after dark thats for sure. :)

thanks all.

Hi Sau NSW,

The city is where you will find a good time but there are idiots anywhere you go.

The Albion isnt as bad as some people say, but i would stay off the main street in Parramatta.

Also the city has absolute gorgeous women coming out of the woodwork.

I was driving through the CBD last night and must have been beeped 10x for looking out the window and missing the green light :(

Been to The Roxy and the Albion stacks of times...never any trouble encountered.

Mind you im over 6 foot and 100kg.

well ive never had problems in any of the wog clubz...

what i meant was its just the environment is a bit wack...

but some people like it.

i thought the name 'duc' wuld have given away that i was azn brother. lol

"Meei an may ashian broudah..."!!!! lol

yeah probably cabramatta would be the place for you

go there on a saturday before lunch time.... its crowded... like some sort of chinatown there..

the food is good though

Hmm Parramatta is kind of lame,Ok place to work but hardly an exciting Night venue. City is definately the place for you. Just be careful of all the pretentious Wannabe rich chicks at Ivy or the Establishment ( Opposite Wynyard station -George st ). I shit you not they will ask you either directly or indirectly what your career salary is.And Naturally expect to be shouted the most expensive drinks all night long. And then be Cocky enough to say sorry I dont go for guys who make less than $250K a year..Happened to Several friends of mine..

whatever u do, if u have ur car, stay the f*&k away from deewhy police station, deewhy cops= biggest nazi's in australia and biggest s&*thead cops in the world. lol

I drive past Dee Why cops all the time and they don't bug me. Perhaps they are just after you ;)

    • Lets say I wanted to buy this, specifically for this purpose. How do I actually perform the function. Can I still buy a Consult-1? Am I about to be burned by the fact my car is a 2000 model Series 2 R34 and thus will be some stupid other system? Do I just need this -> https://obd2australia.com.au/product/nissan-consult-14-pin-to-usb-ddl-diagnostic-interface-with-ftdi-ft232r-chip/ And with what software?
    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
