is that your old car? cause my mate deano owns it now

he has shaved the boot lock and put on a drift lip. looks schmicko

Yep ok I'm sold.

SSR SP1's definitely the best looking wheel on an R33.

I've been looking at replacing my Sterns for 4 years now.

Have done heaps of image editting, pasting various wheels on to my car.

My car is black, and I like the look of the bronze spokes on the black RX-7. Classy and mean.

I think the dish stands out more with a darker spoke.

Super black would probably be my choice for a new set.

If I get a used set, I'd spray em bronze or gunmetal.

Hard to find a used set of rims with the right offsets you want.

I have a set of 17x9.5 +10 and 18x9.5 +16 Chrome SP1s for sale.

I also have another full set of 18 inch Chrome SP1s coming over on my 34 atm as well. They will be sold as I'm going really aggressive with my fitment. The ones on it fill the guards already :D

Ill throw mine into the mix, I think they look good on my car, there bigger then i wanted (19's, i wanted 18's but after constantly getting told the wheels i wanted were only available in 19's for the offset on my car I gave up and got 19's) But the suit my black skyline pretty well... Well I think so anyway

Koya INOX R1's (Polished Lip, Machined face spokes with black R1 + other details)

19 x 8.5 front (235's)

19 x 9.5 rears (265's)

dont really wanna be getting coil-overs just for the sake of it. im 6 foot 4 and its bad enough to get in and out of at the moment lol. it is lowered with low king springs and GAB shocks, handles much better now. where i took that photo,it makes it look like its riding high.

    • Wow ELVIS. You have an....interesting approach to conversation. Did you not notice that I wasn't talking to you?
    • Hello Liam - HA - somewhere in flies - possibly I have an update, but I have been so busy, projects have taken a back seat to getting business back on track.  I will let you know the outcome, but I think I am going to go for the 8HP,  CHEERS.  ELVIS
    • Thanks Joshuaho96, yes - as someone else also suggested, the 8HP seems the 'smart choice' - HA - and ZERO to do with cost, but I am sure 8 speeds will be better than 6 speeds - HA - maybe.  I will purchase a new 8HP,  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Nobody said anything about getting a "...cheap Falcon box..."- it was JUST a question about a specific transmission.  And YOU may have a problem with not enough $ - HA - I do NOT - so please keep your comments like you are some financial guru to yourself.  BUT - much appreciated re the cost of a new 8HP and I twill probably be the way I go.  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
