Hi Fellas,

I currently have 312 rwkw and the injector duty cycle is at 81% (using nismo 555 cc injectors), without a FPR

My aim is to get my power up to 360-370 rwkw. Using basic extrapolation ((0.81 x 365))/312)=94.7%), I get an injector duty cycle of around 94.7%.

However, if I install a Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR), I will be able to increase the pressure, thus, making the injectors flow a bit more.

Anyway, I need you opinion on what power you think the injector's would max out using a FPR with my 555cc injectors.

My tuner is very confident they will make 360-370rwkw safely, as he has done it before.

Please place your vote!

Cheers

You dont need to bump something 45mins after you last posted in it dude...

Just be patient.

Your vote would be greatly appreciated!

Weren't you runing like 365 watts in your R31? What size injectors were you using?

I already have voted.

I used 740's - i knew the power i wanted, so i purchased injectors to suit it.

Im not a fan of FPR's if you've gotta buy injectors, you might as well buy the correct ones as i see it and use one of the better Nissan OEM parts.

For what you need, it'll be fine however to add in a FPR, bump a few PSI and make what you need.

without bumping fuel pressure your 555cc's would probably max out at around 330-340rwk

So generally speaking, how much more power does a FPR provide?

Also, are there any disadvantages to having a fuel pressure rgulator over bigger injectors? (Does it increase the chance of damage to the fuel pump? Or increase the risk of split hoses? Can a FPR damage injectors?)

    • I had issues with my car today after removing the rear bumper. The headlights aren't working when turning the stalk but high beams are working and the rear tail light where the reverse camera is wired up won't turn on when the stalk is activated, but the reverse camera, tail light indicator and brake light all seem to work. I checked the fuses they aren't blown. I think the reverse camera could have possibly gotten pinched but shouldn't be as there is a decent amount of room. I did use the lights and loom for the license plate from the new bumper but also tested the old one in case but made no difference. This isn't for a skyline also. Any ideas what it could be? It was working when I drove I'm pretty sure, then on my return home I noticed my headlights weren't working.

    • Unless you're fortunate enough to buy a newer car, getting an older style plate to match your name/car is difficult because they've already been purchased.  Unlike other countries, personalised plates are locked to the country and not region, so there can't be multiple versions of the same plate but with a different area code.  Hope that helps
