Sweet,,its pretty much down the road from my house so i'll come down, if anyone cancells, i'll run my car, but either way put me down for a run, i'll pay on the day. Are the runs scheduled?

Benzino33: Hi mate, If you are 100% going to run then can you please email ([email protected]) the following:

Fullname, Car Year/Make/Model and Mobile and your email

Yes, the Dyno is scheduled and I am doing the dyno timetables sometime today and emailing everyone.

Timetable (Not Set in Stone)

We might be able to fit a few more in if you come around 3pm.

I see Snowys coming down with his R35 GTR yeah...

That is a must see on the dyno for sure!

The R34 GTR and EVO X will be interesting too.

Guess the kW's of the R33 GTR... Is it stock? :P

Also wanna see what the Commodore twin turbo pulls.

SWeet, e mail has been sent

I cannot disclose the R33 GTR lol .. just come down and see haha

Benzino33: Come down at 2pm and we will try and fit ya in somewhere. Or you can come earlier.

Sometimes if people are running late we might be able to squeeze ya in.

But I'll put ya down on my list. thanks

All goods, I'll be there by 2..might come a bit earlier,, wanna see than Ferrari

cheers

cool turnout. I forgot that the diffusers need to be off the 34 to get it on the dyno. It was also a good excuse to not be toasted by Snowies R35GTR which pushed 349 at all four. We snuck a little roll on and the 35 was able to creep away from me.. she's a quick unit. I reckon I'd take a stocker but once the power up kit has gone in it is all over...

Hey Everyone,

What a great turnout!

I would like to thank (in no particular order):

- Greg, Mario, David and other guys from VCM Suite for doing a great job. We recommend them for your next Dyno Day!

- Sam, Pauline, Seum and Rach for organising the BBQ

- Jack for allowing us to use his awesome R33 GTR as "Guess The Kws". He made 329 kws @ all 4 wheels!!

- Danny from Martini Racing for their support.

- Snowy for bringing down his beast and making us all drool!! Since he arrived noone saw the Ferrari F430 parked next to him anymore. :)

- Tim for taking me for a spin in the R35

- Sneeze Inc., Agentz, TOCAU, MelbS15, SAU and EvolutionOz guys for coming down and showing their support.

A few unedited pics thanks to Rey.

Thanks

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
