We are out of space - or very near to it.

SAU doesnt run on air - we need cash to keep it going... simply put we cannot afford anymore space.

So either donate and help (thanks J'z-R33), or host them with a 3rd party site and link them in your post.

Sorry its not a better answer, but this site has grown from 35k users to over 50k in roughly 18months... so its VERY fast.

Just to let you guys know, it costs 4 figures a month to run this site, not cheap at all

Fire cleanses all

OR you could maybe just ask people to clean out their PM inboxes or something? I think I have like 70 odd pages of crap I'll probably never read again...

Unless there is a seperate image server or something...

There isn't, but I can tell you that only the execs have a lot of PM space and that doesn't account for much on the server.

Have almost sorted new Australian hosting though with images served from Amazon.

Yeah I know, before I was officially an Exec I was cleaning out my PM inbox every fortnight... I haven't done it since

I wish I could help you, I actually work at an internet provider, but our prices aren't very friendly unless you're a rather large corporation :bunny:

PM's dont take up much unfortunately.

One picture in reasonable res would take up more than 1/2 my inbox of many 1,000's of messages.

Top work on some AUS hosting if we can bring it back here, that is excellent news.

I might draw up an announcement about donations, never hurts to get some extra cash to let us give the best

I'd be happy to delete old images if it helped, but I suppose alot of people would need to do it as well.

Problem is though getting people to do so, virtually impossible.

Add to that people who no longer use the forum, dead accounts, we cant just purge them incase they come back - and purging would be not so nice as im sure we have plenty of accounts taking space for nothing.

But like i said, if even HALF the users donated just $5 to SAU - we'd never have a problem with hosting/space/downtime for a very long time

There is no need for donations. In fact I plan to remove the option soon as we are being covered by the banners and I'd hate for people to think we have limitations due to the cost. The problem is that when I got this server, our image store was ~50gb and it has grown so quickly over the past 8 months that we have just outgrown the drives. I could just have the drives upgraded but with the current exchange rate, its not as cost effective to leave it in the states any more.

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
