With so much snow i've had to put off going there for a few days! but all good now. he's got the idea on how much room there is to play with..

hopefully he knocked up a few over the weekend while i was playing in knee deep powder :P

Hey Guys,

there is a bit more of a hold up on these at the moment. their workshop is falling to bits! people are off sick everywhere!

i hope to get them started soon. either that or i will have to learn how to weld quickly to get them done!

will update when i know more..

Hadn't noticed mate!

In all seriousness though, can you see what the possibility of making up an 80mm or 82mm dump that fits on the standard exhaust is?

Haha possibly thats 3inch right? i'm sure thats what they will be doing.

unless i said 3,5 inch before. fitting to the standard exhaust how? the dump is going to be an exact copy of the stock one just different size and no cat stuffed in it.

76mm is 3". I am after 80mm or 82mm.

Yeah, a copy of the OE dump, just larger is what I am after... but since I have a larger front pipe, I figure I should make the most of it.

just a question re the fujitsumo legalis r .Is that a resonator behind the muffler or a cat?I'm looking at buying this system, and also a dump/front pipe without the cat on the front pipe.Perhaps those on this discussion can clarify this for me.There has been so much too-ing and Fro-ing about who can do what and what fits with what, i'm finding ia a bit hard to make sense of it. regards graham. :(

its muffler, a cat-back system is almost never supplied with a cat.

Thanks. Therefore if i did go for the fujitsubo, i would need a cat on the front pipe.Do you know if any one making up the dump pipes can supply a cat to go ?. How did any other fujitsubo owner do this if they have upgraded to a 3" or greater dump?

I have yet to get a dump as I am using the OE dump which contains a cat.

I run the Kakimoto front pipe which deletes the standard cat(s).

When I get the dump done, I will either have a Metal Cat welded into my Kakimoto pipe or I will sell the front pipe and get a dump/frontpipe/cat combo.

If I didn't live in Vic, where the police are defect-happy, I would just put a 3.25" dump on and be done with it

Yo!!

i am happy to say they are actually getting worked on now.

hes done all the turbo flange side of things. and is working on the pipes inbetween the flanges. so they are close to done.

hes uses 3 inch pipe cut with an insert inbetween then which would make it about 3.5inch around the turbo flange. but the main pipe is 3 inch..

i'll have to get some photos todat to show you. they look pretty good :)

i'll get a few done in 3.25 inch outlet for the front pipe people.. but 3 inch will be fine otherwise!! unless he has already completed them as i didnt even know he started them..

Good stuff Andrew!

Does that mean that, for us front pipe people, that the dump starts at 3.5" a the outlet, then goes to 3", then back to 3.25" where it connects to the front pipe?

Or am I reading that wrong? :)

I just got off the phone to him and they are 3inch all the way. tho the turbo flange section is large dew to it being cut up and bent/modified to suit the flange.

he cant do 3.25 since he doesnt have a flange in stock. and has completed most of them.

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
