KR4-GTR
Hey all, Been wondering how much the R33 GTR's were when they were released (amounts in Yen would also be handy - just to feed my curiosity)! prices for - a) non vspec b) vspec i've heard that they were around the AU$150k mark after yen translation, but if anyone knows the actual accurate figures? cheers! chris. GTR-N1
True hehe... What Japan paid as a basic price for their R32 let alone their R33 & R34 isn't anywhere near what we would have paid here in Oz I don't even know what tax is put onto that basic price either. There was an estimate back in '96 that the R33 GT-R V-Spec would have costed about $160K if it were released here by Nissan Motor Co. KamikazeNinja34
would certainly be interested to hear from Kristian on this one, yes. I'd imagine itd be a fair bit given the Series 3 is now 12 years old...and i just shelled out 25k for the privelege of owning one =b Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/273571-r33-gtr-prices-when-they-were-new/#findComment-4654739 Share on other sites

KamikazeNinja34
25k! damn thats cheap!?vspec? Yeah i know right? I was really happy with it. Place i got it from regularly has em, sells between 25-30k depending. if there are any mods the price tends to be cheaper cuz more people are after stock. Mine was 25 cuz it has fully adjustable suspension =o Not sure if its a Vspec. I dont think it is...but it has the same fromt as a vspec...the diffuser bar etc... and it has ABS but other than that no idea =b So im probably just gonna say nup. *edit* As seen in the fasted thread...you heard it here. Non-Vspec. i'd say its not. in the attached screen shot you can see the 6th letter along in the model code (with the small red line i drew under it) is a Q. in the model code breakdown window the the Q with the red line i drew before it means just a normal GTR. further down you will see the blue line i drew with the letter W next to it that means V-Spec. There are non V-spec standard R34 GT-R for around $45,000 a standard roupgh price guide for on Redbook for 1998 R33 GT-R V-spec on PRIVATE sale is $23,800 - $27,400. so i personally would not even bother to nogotiate with someone like that if i were to buy one....... people can boast about what they've spent on thier cars but as far as modifications, some can actually save you a little bit of cash.. but alot of the modifications are an unwelcome sign. That depends entirely on what you want the car for. Before buying my white GTR i was intending to look at a black one the dealer had had...Blitz Nur Spec R catback, FMIC, aftermarket rims all already included. With a GT-R...youre not gonna get your average buyer looking at buying one. Its not a case of...oh that new Hyundai i30 looks good...but theres also this GT-R too... Its not like that. The majority of buyers interested in a GT-R, while stock is preferable for some because then they can do their OWN modifications, Pre-modified GTRs have their calling in saving dollars in parts and labour for the new owner - because its already been done. duff
25k is what i would pay for a stock s3 r33. considering i have just bought 2 s3 gtrs (one for me and one for my bro). We paid a little extra (only 2k) and got a shit load of extras, around 20k worth. We plan on getting to the track more often and we were planning on moding them aswell. But now all we have to do is save for when things go bang. Having owning it now for 6 months, ive already spent around 5k mostly for additional mods (oil cooler, coilovers, tyres). I dont think i could justify starting from scratch. it would cost both arms and legs to get it to any decent lvl.
