For the people in the East

Im putting together a Mini Cruise to the SAU-vic General Meeting for Tuesday night at Bell Hotel in Sth Melbourne.

Meetpoint..Krispy Kreme ..Narrie Warren

Depart time.. 6.40

As i had 3 or 4 cars already meeting up i thought i would get as many as i can to come along.

And you dont need to be a member.

So if you have never been to 1 of our meetings before ,here is your chance.

This should be a great meeting with the SAU-vic HOODIES being available

Andrew ( snowman ) Richmond will be having a talk and showing video of his Targa Tasmania trip

Not to mention bringing down his R35 GTR to have a look at.

And is a great way to meet some of the other members and committee.

And learn whats going on within the club.

So what are you waiting for...Come on down.

Cheers

Wayne

you got my digits ?

call away man , just no heavy breathing late at night, that shit creeps me out :)

hahahaha that shit cracked me up.

Ill be studying at monash uni clayton, but ill meet you guys at elanora maccas. (Im guessing you will be waiting next to video easy?)

PM me with the time you will be there at. Or if you want to meet closer to clayton (easier for me ) but then we cant do skidz out of maccas and traffic light drags and raid blockbuster

Pre-meet to a pre-meet woo~

Just so you all know

When we leave Krispy Kreem we woll be heading down the Freeway

Not Dandenong rd.

So we wont be going past Noble Mc Donalds

hrmm no good...

We could meet at the freeway entrance next to Waverly Gardens shopping centre. Outside Nando's?

If the KK group leaves at 6:40pm, they should pass waverly gardens at about 6:50pm...

Anyone have TJ's number? someone let him know about no princes.

Are the Noble Park Maccas people still going to meet up? Narre is too far out for me given the meeting time...

hey if u want pm me ur number and wen we are are passing stud rd on the freeway im sure i can get wayne to prank ur fone and then you can get on the freeway and we wont be that far away and meet up on freeway.. up to u.

all good Pat, cheers. we'll i live in Keysborough, so i'll head down the original route.

i'll be eating so i might getting there around 615pm if all goes to plan. (between Video EZY and KFC outside the trucking place)

be leaving 630pm latest, as i have to make a detour towards the end to pick up a passenger, so if you wanna come there for the hell of it, up to you. but i wont be waiting around.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
