I've mocked up a draft layout, assuming the information in this thread is still current;

layout%20draft.jpg

This puts 3 of the best of each release -32, 33 and 34 in the middle for the centrepiece - im just filling in names atm cause i know lukes 34 is sexy and so is martins 32, no idea about which 33 would be the best on the day but i do like vu's ride.

On the left be 32's and stags, on the right be 33's and 34's with 2 spares being avail - can move a stag to the right side if we need symmetry

Aux positions are reserved for SLED's bike and andrews new ride (or his 34 if he hasnt sold it)

Tent in the centre. Should be easy enough to rearrange the display for aesthetics

If anyone on this list is pulling out, please let me know asap, and if anyone wants to come, please let us know asap.

We have just under 2 months to get this stuff going, and imho it requires a bit of momentum to get right.

My car is in the workshop atm, getting powdercoated rims and calipers. Getting paint touch up next fortnight, and I'll get my placard printed out and framed soon too.

Then, I'll need to gauge the demand for a detailer to travel up to the riverland to detail our cars.

Comments/Suggestions/Flames all welcome

think you forgot cara's R34 ?

and if Andrew takes his R34 then I would say put in the R34 area ?

near mine

Cara has decided to do her own thing unfortunately. If Andrew takes the 34, then definately would be best sitting with the others - im just putting the proviso down incase he gets his new ride in the next 6 weeks :)

That said these are all just ideas, and Madaz and Heslo are the dudes who's lap this now falls into. I'm always willing to help however I can in either case.

-D

Edit- It also depends if pete is gonna show his bike off individually - a bike that epic can easily get away with being a single entry :P

so can we get a run down of where people are staying???, Im wondering where to book into without having to drive to meet up for a few drinks ?

and secure parking ?

guess we could party crash Inlines6 tent party..lol post it up on myspace!!!

From the majority of the posts here, it looks like the Loxton Hotel - think they have >one< more suite/single available.

however a tent and bonfire would be damn sweet - pity about fire restrictions...

-D

Edit - I dont know that there IS secure parking as the hotel parking is on the median strip (google earth it) but considering that its a country town, I'm not hugely concerned about the parking - if we need to, we can always park each other in at the median strip.

Ben i think me, abe and martin have booked into the hotel as well....i am keen for a big breaky in the morning and you will find that a lot of people are going up there on friday night.....staying 2 nights....cant wait should have some new goodies on the beast as well

Just eggs would be good enough for me mate

Pete and my room at the Loxton Hotel includes brekky each morning .... not sure if all of them do or if it is our 'romantic getaway' package :P

I will hopefully have my new 'Line by then .... looking at one locally as I am sick of the hassles of dealing with idiot/dodgy car salesman in Sydney (last car I had checked 'supposedly' had 25,000km - car check guy said it had between 80,000-100,000km).

Is the Loxton hotel booked out? And what are the prices? I'll need to revisit sorting out accommodation for 3 ... and sort out the Stag for the long drive.

:P

Ive only got a base spec room, mainly because at the time it was the last room left... I don't know about you guys, but I dont think Im gonna be spending much of the night in it anyway lol

Same. Ive got a single room with the very basics... Ruby/anyone else yet to get a room, I'd advise calling them asap - I know there is a highschoool reunion happening in loxton that same weekend which accounts for some of the popularity that weekend, and would suggest anyone who misses out on a room to request that you be put on a waiting list incase anyone cancels.

You guys with stags need to harden up, drop the seats, and chuck a mattress in the back like the old sandmans..

Oh that's right, I forgot.......I think they even serve it bed for us, ROR :P

Those false kms are definitely an issue when buying an import these days..........I'd bet that 80% of Lines out there have had a speedo change.

I'd be more than happy to sleep in the back of the Stag ... but convincing the missus to do the same isn't so easy :P

Does brekky come as a standard on all rooms or did u guys book the honeymoon suite? :)

I agree with u there pete. Worst thing about that is the fact that you cant tell how many miles it has travelled once taken out - would love to know what my car has actually done (Cos im sure its not the 41,000km listed)

-D

It is easy as piss to tell how many km a car has done Ben. Take it to any decent workshop and they will be able to tell you.

Easy signs:

- brake rotor wear (the brake rotors on the one I was looking at were seriously lipped which CAN'T happen in 25,000km with standard pads still on)

- bushes wear

- belt wear (the one I was looking at had a seriously cracked and dated a/c belt - which again CAN'T happen in 25,000km)

- steering wheel wear

- gearknob wear

- seatbelt wear

and there are tons more.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
