Awesome, we've got 7 cars on display at the SAU-SA club display.

Damo's R34

My Stagea

Vu's R33

Chad's R32

Martin's R31

Anthony's R32 (sporting a new green paint job)

Matt's mental R33

Be sure to come in and say "hi"

just came home from the show but will head back there tonight.

apart from the nice cars this year, there are some serious big $$$ tuff bikes on display

When I get a moment, I'll try and post up pics of the bikes cause I'm sure others will post up plenty of car pics

too many gay comonwhores this year and not enough old school cars with bigblocks.

almost felt like auto salon :D

still some nice rides there

don't know about that Ken.....some nice old school toranas, monaros and the 1933 ford show stopper (just to mention a couple)

There's a blue XU1 and 383 Monaro near the Jimmy Tools stand that you must see.....the XU1 is owned by a female and is the straightest car you'll ever see in your life.

Her boyfriend that owns the 383 next to it took 5 years to build her car and 7 to build his and hasn't taken any shortcuts whatsoever.

If we only appreciate the bling factor, we'll walk straight past these kind of cars without asking any questions and never really appreciating the engineering that's gone into making them an absolute work of art.

that blue xu1 was f**kn awsome. and the monaro was done bloody well too, im not sayn there was no good cars, just too many boring commos surounding em

Sorry guys Im going to have to pull out of tomorrow, as most of you know I blew my turbo last weekend but I was going to drive it to EHP anyway (hell I drove it for 2.5 hours from Loxton to Gawler like it - havent touched it all week) but upon doing some things for the show today, and checking my fluids Ive discovered oil where oil shouldnt be... So I think its best to let it sit until it has a new huffer, I pick up my HKS 2530 late next week. Sorry again guys.

edit: Im going to go tomorrow, I called Geof and he said to come before the gates open and I can still get my entrants bag and passes etc.

went to this today some very sexy cars there any of u boys hitting the dyno tomorow? i will be back again tomorow :D i should enter the next one :D

I'll be taking my tools down so i can take the baffle plates out of my exhaust. Don't think i'll get anywhere near Alex's car (MR VLT) he pulled about 740rwhp if i remember correctly :D

MR VLT is pretty impressive, 2spd auto sounds weird as though.

TRUST 6 was awsome, stealth as.... then he opend the bonnet.

Sure was, I heard it outside lol

Was that your R33 reversed up against the fence in the carpark?

Had a great day, congratulations to Chad, Anthony and Damo for thier power figures on the dyno and big thumbs up to Anthony's R32, what a transformation!

Saw most of the SAU regulars around the place, some wicked cars in there, will definately go again.

Also it was good to meet Matt and eye off his beast of an R33 :)

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
