Glad to see everyone enjoy themselves who got involved.

On behalf of the SAU-SA committee I'd like to thank all those who got involved. The short time that I was there on both days, I had a few enquiries from people wanting to become members. The public were impressed with the variety of skylines/stagea. :)

Matt (whatsisname), Vu, Damo and Martin, I need to catch up with you guys for that $20 refund being club members! Can you guys PM me. :(

yeah true. I spose I would too.

was hanging out with her friend madsy pads whos in her top friends list at the casino. Same school

Nice enough. not the brightest.

the cute ones rarely are. i used to work with a couple hotties. less than a single braincell between the two of them, so they ended up taking shifts... sometimes i'd be talking to this chick and shes just blink at me like a dog thats been shown a card trick

i used to swear if i tipped her on her side and tipped a beer in her ear it'd come out the other ear...

Yeah true. There are some smart stunners. they are usually taken tho.

I guess a lot are like you say because a lot of guys don't talk to them properly. Never know what to say.

They are accustomed to dribble coming from the dudes mouth and no conversations. 'yeah , yeah . yeah. yeah. lets hook up. stare stare '

that sorta thing.

different context - i work in IT and they often put pretty girls on the counter to make drooling nerds spend money

thing is, i have to get these girls to order bits n pieces, warranty stuff, make appointments, answer phones and what not

its very hard training an 18 year old to NOT say 'laik, y'know' n' stuff, omg' repeatedly....

"Carly can you please order a 24 port switch from linksys asap and get it couriered out to "x" asap"

"Whats a switch and who is linksys? is he hot?"

I dont even think its got to do with nerds being intimidated by hot girls but more simply laziness. after all if someone offered to open doors for you, you'd soon learn to exploit it

and so forth. HR managers are dicks. what more can i say.

-D

EDIT - And then u get instances when U ask for a 24 port switch, and she orders 24 clipsal rj45 sockets *facepalm* or you ask for a single spindle of 50 dvds and she orders 50 spindles *facepalm 2*

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
