Cjmartz2k
yes, put the stock one back on Agree. And stop worrying about the cute little noise your turbo makes when you let up on the go pedal. Nasedo
Lol Funky, that's the one. So there's no way to get rid of the surge? I either have to live with it or get a stock bov? My bov was leaking so that's why I replaced. And how bad is this for the turbo? Is it just bouncing around in the pipes or would it actually hurt the turbo? I've noticed it pop sometimes but is that just flames or is that a small backfire? (backfire's shocks would hurt the turbo...) Edit: I'll try to upload a video of the sound it makes and how it's set up this friday as well. Nasedo
It wasn't, I bought it from Repco in NZ. Not everyone can afford to spend $500 on a blow off valve. Especially when it's not needed yet. Well my mechanic advised me that the stock one was leaking. If it doesn't hurt the turbo then I don't really care what it sounds like, but that's my main concern. If this is what it's meant to sound like then that's fine with me. Thank you for all your support and input everyone. Birds
If you are certain this is a surge sound, I am guessing your BOV is incorrectly installed. OR Are you positive your stock one was leaking? Perhaps it was actually the vacuum line leading to it (leaking/disconnected), hence the new BOV isn't opening.
