hi guys just like to ask what my prob may be

when your in 1st and you take off from a set of ligths and nail it.. it gets to rev limiter and bounceses on it 1-2 times then flat lines (cuts out) until you go 2nd

what would cause this prob??

all am trying to do is work out what is up with my car and what i put in the first post was the best way to describ it

so pls if you can't help dont post

PS like no one on this forum has never hit limiter in there car....just to add i dont do it on the streets as i dont drive the car. my misses dose...i only drive it on the track

oh oh befor i for get i know i cant sell so no point telling me something that i all ready now.

Of course it flat lines - it's hit a limit. It's doing exactly what Nissan designed it to do. It protects the engine from idiots.

Actually Daniel, the problem is somewhere between the left ear and the right ear - I think it's called a vacuum.

do you know what flat line means?...what i'am saying is it gets to limiter then it's like you turn the key off and restart it once in 2nd

thanks i know i have a vacum between the ears it absorbes all the info better then rocks

You're the one acting like a 12 year old. You're driving like you're playing a computer game? Learn how to drag race properly. Both power and torque curves stop way before the rev limiter - there is simply no need to take the engine RPM that high.

sorry ppl for wasting my time here i guess the question is just to hard for a lady to answer ill go to a forum where they no about jap cars not a forum where they think they no about jap cars

Go to another forum...but before you do, perhaps consider that given everyone here is telling you how much of a jackass you are...you might be wrong in what you are doing and saying? We're not the ones who are going to end up with a conrod through our engine blocks. And I'll warn you...you will get the same responses from any knowledgeable forum. What really made me laugh is you saying "Jap cars" as if this is a Jap car specific "problem"? Go back to playing Need For Speed you idiot.

yes that is so not that long a go i went to oran park skid pan for the first and this is when i notice the the prob

not to be smart but i dont play computer games or game consoles....i dont drag race and the only time i have ever hit the limiter was at the skidpan when i spun out (i'm not saying i know how to drive)...and the car has only been rego for 2weeks or there abouts and the misses drive it as i'm on my green P's and have my 2 kids in the car most of the time so to do any thing of they above with kids in the car or evern with out kids in the car your an idiot

Why is the problem bothering you if the only time you hit the rev limiter is at a skidpan?

I can do anything in my car without hitting the engine rev limiter...even burnouts...but they aren't really my thing. Shift long before the limiter and practice throttle control...then you will be fine. I'm guessing your ECU shut down your engine, as is the function of a rev limiter, to protect it. Much the same thing happens when you hit 180km/h in a JDM vehicle.

hmmm ok thank you....i was chating to a mate a few days a go and he thinks it may be the CAS as the car was in a aco by the previous owner.

Well a quick fix for this problem, Firstly BEFORE you get to the redline you need to rapidly remove your right foot/shoe from the accelerator pedal. Then with your left foot/shoe you need to press in the pedal furthest to the left ( this is called the clutch pedal ) Whilst that pedal is depressed , With your left hand you need to reach over and grab the gear stick and gently but assertively select the next gear. When this sequence is complete gently but assertively release pressure from the clutch pedal ( your left foot/shoe ) until pedal has completed all of its travel. Resume acceleration by pressing the pedal furthest to the right ( Accelerator pedal )

cheers man now i see what i was doing wrong...i was flat changing and for getting about lifting the right foot/shoe befor changing gears :):ninja:

i understand wat ur saying with the (flat line) bit if its a factory computer i cant say from experience cuz ive never had a standard computer but dont they have sum sorta protection cut that basically stops the engine from revving completely..... my mates lil sss pulsar in lil fits of rage hes just hold it on the rev limiter and it would just die in the arse or as old mate says it flat lines as if the fuel or ignition had been shut off for a second.... not saying its the same thing but i defo noticed it.

They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase.
