zei20l
So i want to get an LSD diff for the rear. anyone know what the ratio is for them? im hoping (like the V35 guys http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Au...f-t279164.html) that there might be something else interchangable. if i start increasing power, i want to be able to put it to the ground properly.......... nickcorr
According to the brochure... 3.133 for the Turbo AWD and the 3.0 RWD. 3.538 for the 2.5 NA AWD 4.363 for the 2.5 NA RWD (it's only a 4 speed as well). scotty nm35
I did see one a few weeks ago but shipping... it would be cheaper to drop a cucso 1.5 or 2way in the back wouldnt it? Its only the centre to ship then, and a better one too. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280027-m35-diff-ratio/#findComment-4726192 Share on other sites
zei20l
yeah but i dont wanna pay $1200+ for a centre when i can get a diff for under $1k delivered. i dont need a mechanical diff, just a viscous coupling is enough Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280027-m35-diff-ratio/#findComment-4726199 Share on other sites
Daleo
Isn't the diff just an r200 Shortnose? All you should need is a LSD centre, swap your ring gear over and set backlash. Lots of options for a donor centre, r32, r33, r34, s13, s14, s15... I'm pretty sure the only IRS in recent times that's any different is Z33 300ZX; which is r230 diff. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, it's happened before... zei20l
the S15 diff would probably be the best of them all ........ damn and i had a spare a few years back. eugene you still got my old diff?? Angus Smart
so i can possibly put in the spare gtr diff i have at home?? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280027-m35-diff-ratio/#findComment-4727648 Share on other sites
zei20l
not the whole diff, like daleo said, just the 'LSD' part of it in the centre. you cant change the gearing as it will not match the front diff Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280027-m35-diff-ratio/#findComment-4727657 Share on other sites
Angus Smart
yee i figured this. ratios being different and all.. interesting! i might hang onto it then! its already in pieces after me investigating it when it was ment to be aftermarket Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280027-m35-diff-ratio/#findComment-4727703 Share on other sites
zei20l
then half the work is done for you! haha the GTR viscous centre (if its a NUR or something it might be mechanical???) will be strong too!
