Zennon, thats an awesome picture! Bit dark though, but thats just my opinion.

Yeah think you're right actually - it looked fine at home but then when I saw it on my work pc is was like :)

(then realised it was because I had played with my gamma and brightness at home so i can see the bloody counter strike campers :) )

OT

what do you think of the innov8? im tossing up that or an ultra touch.. my nokia N85 is rubbish never again!

the innov8 was barely sold here. Mine was bought overseas from ebay. Very hard to find one here and hence running overseas firmware (couldnt find australian firmaware) It doesnt affect the functionality of the phone but.

Depends what you are after on a phone.

The innov8 has wifi and runs on symbian OS (same operating system as the new gen nokia's, so there are many applications you can run. After you crack the phone there are a lot of apps to download. Ive got about 3 different GPS programs and 2 different office suite apps) also has 8gb or 16gb internal memory.

Also the middle button on the innov8 is infra-red sensor, so you slide your thumb over it to move the cursor when browsing websites etc. Think of it as a mini touch pad on laptops. Although its much more sensitive as its a small pad.

Quickly reading about the ultra touch, they are touch screen but dont have wifi or big internal memory. however they are very small phone.

sweet ill go grab a 16gb one then, my only prob with internal mem phones is if you drop it in water you cant easily remove the mem card to download your data, just means more frequent backuping....

The i8510 does have a memory card slot, so you can get a 8gb internal and then buy a 8gb card if you want.

first attempt at some panning shots.. lots of practice needed... and a decent lens for it, was using the 50mm for these ones. I think.. might have been the stock lens too..

what noticable difference does the lens make when panning?

yeah I know you can do it with any lens, but with the 50mm it was hard to get the whole car in focus, it usually focused on the rear or the door or the front but not the whole thing

don't use it wide open then?

don't use it wide open then?

he was using f22.

i dont think you did to bad considering they were taken at 1/40th of a second. maybe start at 100th and work your way down from there. although im no pro so take that with a grain of salt.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the 2025 build re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I quite rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
