Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday dear Nexus9,

Happy Birthday to you,

Hip Hip!

That pic arrived yet or what?

Thanks for the Birthday wishes Strutto :)

Got a little blue card in the mail to pick up some registered post, so I assume that it is the photo :) Can't wait to see it.

Will be posted after I get over my B'day celebrations, so expect it in about two-three weeks :)

hahaha funny shit!!

the speed camera are all privately owned and not run by cops so even if the photo shows u sticking your finger up at the camera they cant do shit about it.

the camera operators can manually take a pic also, i heard of a guy not wearing a seat belt getting his photo taken my a mobile speed camera which he got the fine for.

Yeah I can confirm that cops do run man the speed cameras. My last speeding ticket was given to me by a 'mobile' speed camera van. He took offence to me overtaking him on the Centenary Hwy, pulled me over, and proceeded to manually write out a speeding ticket. Very uncool. It not everyday you get pulled over by a Mitsubishi Express Van!

[i would question their authority to photograph you with a speed camera when you weren't speeding]

the cameras can take a photo of whatever they like, it is often used when gathering intelligence on people who use the highway, or if there is a bikie group in town, they can get a photo of them all to check for warrants and stuff. they are only used in court if you are speeding. otherwise, damn fine effort and wish i had thought of it, really want to see the photo when it is up too. hahahahaha :headspin:

if i were at the pub i would buy you a beer :)

Rolla Boy

I once was pulled over by a van transporting a prisoner, it was a three lane set of lights and it merged into two, I was in the left, and took off from the lights to get in front of them, however, they sped up and beside me and signalled to pull over, and asked why i was in a hurry. I was surposed to be at my friends house 1 hour earlier, but my ex-gf kept me busy and I was late.

they checked my rego and let me drive off. Very weird for an unmarked van with a prisoner in it.

I'd say you've been had.....by a friendly set-up. Don't believe the revenue raiser (Police Imposter) would have a second hand-held camera or have the time to react, after their jaw just dropped.

Keep up the good work....there are too many revenue raisers in the Traffic branch and the "Betty" Government and I'm sure the Premier's name is Betty.

Had a (Police Imposter) edge me on to hit the speed limiter once.

He was in an unmarked car, Tail-gating and driving eradically beside, then behind and then way behind. I waited for him to catch up, when he put the light on the roof. I pulled over and when he got to my door, I abused the crap out of him.....never got booked....he just wanted to see how quick the REX was.

Just because they wear a uniform, doesn't mean they have gained any purity, wisdom and above all commonsense. Talk to anyone in the traffic branch and it will only turn into a heated disscussion and or arguement.

Have fun safely, theres a time and place for everything. Including exceeding the speed limit.

just because they wear a uniform, doesn't mean they have gained any purity, wisdom and above all commonsense.

Its more like when they put their uniform on they think their shit dont stink and they turn into arrogant assholes. Even tho someone with just a high school education can become a cop! pfft

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
