its only defamation if its not true. If what occured is indeed true, then no law suit claim can be made.

I have no reason to believe sachee would make this up. He even has photographic proof of b4 and after of his odometer.. so i dont see the big deal on publicy listing who it was.

Guys,

As Dan has said, please do not publicly post the name of the workshop in the thread. If you want to inform people of the place, please do so via PM as this is tolerated. Please also refrain from calling the workshop and qouting SAUWA and saying many people are aware of what has happened and to check the website etc in the hope of getting something to happen.

If the name of the workshop is listed in the thread, it will be promptly edited and removed as per the reasons Dan has listed above, there is no discussion about this matter.

Agree 100% bro,

and if your not able to give a name can you give the address of the place not to visit, or hint at the street its in.?

I'm unsure how to make this any more clear:

You are quite welcome to pm the OP to get the information you require. There is no need for cryptic posts.

a reputable BMW w/shop in Perth where I normally send my car for servicing sent my car back with major scratches to the front lip from what I suspect was driving up a ramp or pavement.... didn't fess up to it (even though I had proof of the lip being sprayed and installed just days before).

So 80km/hr on a Skyline is nothing to get stressed over.

whats with everyone saying its nothing to be stressed over.

give me the keys to ur car, and i wont take it over 80kmh, but ill still be able to trash the living shit out of it.

PMs sent as requested

ive sent u a PM, unfortunatley i wont be able to post it for every1 to see. feel free to pm if you really want to know

and you still sent your car to them after the 1st incident??

yes because they were doing it without any extra charge. i saw no point of taking it to another place. i trusted them coz they did a job for me a couple of years ago and i got a good rate from them. i was also nice enough to refer ppl his way as well prior to the previous incident. but it is because of the 1st incident that i decided to record the odometer/reset rsm.

i will post up pics when i get home :)

Did they do a wheel alignment? If so that may explain the drive.

nope no wheel allignment. just to fix a small dent on the RH fender*edit (coz of them) and to re-align the back coz they didnt do a good job last time. (not like they did a good job this time :S)

hand me the keys when ur done :thanks: i wont take it over 10kmph

Seriously, Dirt Garage is on the money, I can guarantee they went to go get lunch or something in the car.

If your car is that precious then do your own shit, seriously this is a joke.

None of us own Ferraris/Lambos, shit most of our cars are worth less than 20k.

Flame me if you feel like it but this sort of thing almost always happens and quite frankly the only way around it is to do the work yourself.

And this whole omg he could of thrashed it thing makes me laugh as well, Ive hit limiter in my car, is the motor dead? no. would it have caused much stress? Doubt it, shit maybe a bit.

    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
