Anyone see todays Eastern Creek round?

Russel Ingall is a disgrace! The fact that he punted Skaife is bad enough, then the next lap he felt the need to swerve off the racing line towards Skaife by the side of the road... my thoughts are he should be reamed by the officials.

I conceed Skaife should have immediatley jumped over the wall, and wasnt doing the right thing either, but Ingalls actions were far worse then Skaifes.

Congrats to Ambrose and Ford, will be good to see some more competitive Ford teams next year.

Well, I half agree.

The original incident when skaife spun off and hit the wall was fair racing....skaife had come across on him and pushed him off the track on the exit of the corner...no problems with that, ingall steered back into skaife (as you would!) It resulted in skaife spinning of but imho that was just bad luck - stewards got it right...racing incident.

On the other hand, both Skaife and Ingall were way out of line with the confrontation afterwards. I hope they both get big fines for that sort of behaviour.

I disagree with that.

Skaife (whom I have been following since the Amaroo Park days) gave Ingall plenty of room through the corner, as always Ingall went out onto the extra concrete on the exit of the corner (as drivers always do on that corner) then Ch10 switched to the head-on camera and Ingall had well over a foot of tarmac to his left (the wall side of the track) and then he thought it would be a great idea to steer into Skaife which you all seen the results of.

I'm quite surprised that Skaife kept a cool head about it when he was back in the SBR pit garage. I would have been throwing things around and hirting people because what Ingall did was totally uncalled for especially when for Skaife it meant finishing either 2nd or 3rd in the Championship where as for Ingall it was either 4th or 4th.

Thankgod I stayed home instead of going to EC to watch because I certainly would have had a handfull of something to throw at the 2nd SBR car thats for sure.

Ingall is an aggressive wanker on the track and a complete airhead off the track.

Don't forget 11:05pm, Dec 1st on Ch10.

I'm spewing I missed a round! :spew: Ingall has always been over argessive on the track, i say sipping a beer from my HRT stubbie holder signed by the affore mentioned and Larry Perkins, Skaife, on the other hand is always well composed on and off the track. And he used to drive a GTR, can't wait for sports tonight :fight!:

The cookies have crumbled...

Skaife - $10,000 fine

Ingal - $15,000 fine

And both drivers have copped a suspension, the terms of which i dont fully know.

I have no trouble with Skaife copping the fine, but Ingall's fine should perhaps be a little more considering his actions when behind the wheel of a racecar swerving towards someone on the infield.

I have never been a fan of Ingall, his passing moves often involve a bit too much rubbing, ruining others races, but the big thing is he doesnt know when the fight is lost.

I feel the move was fair with a bit of rubbing, and each driver giving each other enough room, UNTIL well out of the corner exit and each car having 4 wheels on the blackstuff, Ingall decided to move over on Skaife. Ingall was sunk, he was never going to come back from that position on the outside coming up to turn 10.

Ingalls driving let his ego and frustrations dictate his actions! He was out of line, and i have trouble seeing that as a racing incident, if it happened earlier on corner exit or with Ingall on the white curbing, perhaps i would have deemed it a racing incident, but it was too far down the road. If that had been Lowndes/Ambrose/Richards/Murphy etc on the outside i doubt it would have ended in the same manner.

I think even Ross Stone was a little embaressed by the whole thing.

Oh and anyone else remember Ingalls actions at the Queensland Raceway a few years back when on the straight he swerved and forced a back marker off the track? All because he slwed his entry on to the straight!

The guy is a liability on the track, and off the track, well the V8 Superstar shows dont do him any favours.

3 race suspension, i hope that a suspended penalty. Id hate to think Skaifes season is sunk before it is even started.

I want to see the telemetry or in car footage from Ingalls car to see his steering inputs. You think back to Murphy's drive thru penalty for his accident with Lowndes at Winton, and then consider Ingall didnt get anything for that accident? Perhaps the telemetry tells us something that the cameras hide, they would want to, otherwise the stewards have got it very wrong.

Im with benm, im glad i wasnt there, i would have thrown full VB stubbies at Ingalls car, then i would have shot his dog, pissed in his radiator, put a horses head in his bed, and given his wife photos of Ingall in compromising positions with sheep!

Geeze thats fair, Skaife pulls off a legal pass and gets his car slammed into the wall and is out of the race. Ingall deliberately smashes a car off the road and then deliberately swerves at a driver on the side of the road.

Does anyone know if its 3 race meetings or just 3 races? If its 3 meetings then both of those guys can kiss goodbye to the Championship for 2004.

nice one ****jockey's. the people making those decisions need to realise they are in the entertainment business as well. if they make pathetic decisions like that its going to have an impact on the sport. especially when the decision screws over probably the most popular and most religiously followed team/driver in the competition.

ingall definitely gets my sportsmanship award. do us a favour and retire already you dirty little man.

    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
