I watched the first episode, wasnt too bad. The best bit i thought was if you noticed in the background when they were talking to the bikie guy, there was a silver Astra driving across the nature strip to do a U turn.

I think what is going to happen is that they are going to play up each situation a bit more for TV. The reason i say it is because last year i was talking to one of the guys i used to deal with at work. He is a fabricator and was saying the man he uses to repairs his machines is based in NZ. He comes over a few times a year to service the machines. What he does is bring the component parts in his carry on luggage. Had been doing it for years with absolutely no problem from customs. But one day he came in, they were filming, they pulled him up, made a big deal of it and wouldnt let him in to the country. He had to have the parts shipped back to NZ, and he had to fly back. So the same will happen i reckon. Highway Patrol is not an interesting job, so each situation they have they are going to have to make the most of to keep the show going.

Cant wait to see an episode based on young kids/fast cars. I live just behind fitzroy st, so im betting a few dollars i show up somewhere, even though I drive like my nan haha

LOL that's gold.

the other thing i found funny was when the cop said that when she was doing 151km/h the car would be screaming its head off and she should be able to hear it easily, as if, maybe if she was in a hyundai excel. i lol'd at that comment for a while.

asif a bmw would be screaming at that speed... made for the autobahn ;)

I live 5mins from chapel, and have never had issues, but i avoid the actual street in the 32, stagea FTW

I think the only import owners who will end up on the show will be the idiot muzzas on chapel or around acland st... and i agree the NZ show is better!

Exactly right, Fingers crossed the show doesnt gain a massive following, the last thing we want is for it to stay on TV for years and end up as over blown and ridiculous like COPS.....

if they expanded it to being more than just traffic cops then it would be a better show, but then it would be "behind the line" not "highway patrol".

Maybe just give them a mobile phone, and hope that they'd stop :P

a mate of mine from trade school recently bought a red minitruck from this guy... and the guy said he was defected a while back and there was a camera crew that got the whole thing... was in st.kilda

so maybe that will be on there, aparently he gave a bit of a show of the minitruck's tricks for the camera when the cops told him not too haha

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
