HA!

it was that time...and no im not going dirt tracks.

Poor form :)

Also loling at the irony behind NS running like shit. Their new servers are just like an SR, runs ok for a bit then when it cops a bit of abuse it breaks a rocker arm or something and goes offline for a while :D

Surely the site pays the bills for him! What has become of the Project Car? Havent seen or heard of it in ages.

He moved to QLD so that is why you wouldn't have seen it around SA for a while. It was up for sale ~12 months ago as well, so if you have a spare $35K it can be yours.

And lets face it most of us would move to QLD is we had the chance, i'd move there just for the mod plate laws.

Loz was getting too greedy I think.

Tried to expand it to Hardtuned, Toyotatuned, Aidstuned, etc. That all failed.

Then, upgraded the site to something stupid. That also failed.

Then went on a holiday, changed commitments, etc.

f**k being a sponsor on that site!

And lets face it most of use would move to QLD is we had the chance, i'd move there just for the mod plate laws.

To be honest, as someone who's lived in QLD for 4 years (and in Sydney & Melbourne for about 3-4 years each), I prefer Adelaide over Brisbane...

Though I do hate (in comparison to the other states):

* The sheer number of police, red-light/speed cameras, and the attitude of the law to import-owners

* The abysmal lack of a proper road system here (where are the multi-lane highways, speed limits over 60 - and wtf, 40 zones in lots of residential areas?!)

* The amazing number of drivers who refuse to pull out into an intersection when they're turning across traffic - grrrr ..

* The road signs that are either badly placed or 50m back from an intersection so when you get there you don't know what intersection it is

* None of the food or grocery shops are really open past 9pm weekdays or weekends past 5pm? Forget about it! (gah, there's 24 hour coles in backwards places like Geelong for crying out loud..)

Hmmmm .. think that's about it for now .. lol .. Don't get me wrong, I still really like the place - no plans to move :D

Silly me, driving to Sturt police station for them to fill out a stat dec. Should have remembered that i have a spool.. and with it chirping away in their very small carpark..can be quite annoying, especially if there is a community watch program finishing up with 3 policeman, and about 10 or so old folk..

Got told to change it before things get more serious with them.

and that was my exciting night.

LOL

now i bet u wish u swapped the single pegger with mowbuss eh

dOEA ANY ONE (fek) know what i can do with teh gas tank in the 31?

its coming out saturday and i dont really wanna have it lying round, specially with this heat we are bout to have.

will scrap yards take it?

go to an LPG installer, they'll take it off you

replace skank, with freaking hot.

and i didnt feel like driving out to Parafield Gardens, and it was yeah...that special time.

However i will redeem myself hopefully this weekend.

and jack, i would put up a pic, but yeah..mods will go nuts.

this be the one that i had to slap u round the head numerous times on sunday for NOT tapping?

We had a minute silence today. It was all properly done as i was in the defence force recruitment offices since 8am today.

I wanted to be a pilot, got told no. FARRRK!

so they offered me to be a marine technician on those submarines.. might do it.

*cough* combat engineer *cough*

marine tech, what, you wanna actually come out of the closet now?

LOL

Pretty sure I just had a crack at the amount of times one could use the word 'fuck' in properly constructed sentences :)

Fking put like 10 of my favourite songs at the mo on d/l and went out into the bullshit hot sun to piss fart around and waste time till they're done. Hrs worth of work outside later I'm sweating like a priest in a pre-school so go to check my songs and they're done - fucking sweet now to open the folder they d/led to and crank em up...

Wait a minute, where the fuck are my beats? Check every folder I can think of that I set them to d/l to - nothing. Re-check and search the whole computer for any file with the song title in it - nothing. Re-download a few of them after resetting the folder they save to. 30 minutes later they're done so I look in the folder I set them to - nothing fucking there

Now I've come to the conclusion the program I was using McFucked and I can't get the songs I want. Hell devo :P

I do have the option of a combat engineer...although i have no idea what that particular role actually is.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
