ouch, PM's XI getting a touch up! Howard would have picked a better team...... I think if a few of us remembered that the new PM would need to pick a cricket team for tour matches, noone would have voted for Ruddy..

hey guys i need some help BADLY, i have a 2000 nissan stagea with a neo 6 turbo, i have bought a turbotech manual boost controller and need fitting instructions, and exactly where to fit it as i have been told a couple of different things so far,in regards to the neo engine and its 2 stage boost set Up from factory.

so if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.. because i am a little confused, cheers, i appreciate it heaps!

look up in the DIY section adam.....guess there would be a thread there about it mate.....but i am guessing it just goes in normally...one line for the actuator and another line from the IC piping

You need to unplug the two vac hoses that connect to the factory solenoid. That solenoid is what provides the dual stage boost in the neo's. If you stand over your bonnet, the solenoid should be next to the right hand strut tower, behind the airbox.

I stand corrected.

I knew I had seen these before but the article that was sent to me was dated late last year so I thought that they were a further development of the original ones. Apparently not. That's what I get for blindly accepting media reports without doing my own background check. :D

holy fuggin hell, this is one impressive workshop.

The stock solenoid can stay plugged in.

Who the Fu*k would do this.

Someone has walked into my front yard, gone to the garden hose, cut off the end with the connection and wheeled off like 10m of garden hose and cut it again.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
