well my friend had a shattered vertebrae and had surgery yesterday on it...........im the worst person in the whole wide world :D

I'm sorry to hear about your friend Cara and hope the surgery went well.

I understand you feeling guilt, it is only natural. I once sat in the car with a lady, kept her calm and phoned her husband for her to inform him of the accident that she had just been in - an accident that I caused - while waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Later I mailed her all the drivers' details as 4 cars were involved and wished her a rapid, painless and full recovery. Of course I know how long neck injuries take to heal and know that she probably endured a lot a pain, and may have limited mobility as a result. Some time later she called me and thanked me for the letter and for sitting with her in the car until the paramedics could load her into an ambulance.

Unfortunately these things happen. They are called accidents for a reason as there is no intent to harm. Don't be too harsh on yourself and just try to be supportive for your friend, because he will need it and only the two of you know what happened and shared the experience. Make sure that you have someone to support you too.

For the record the accident I caused was as a result of using a mobile phone. I was working for a pharmaceutical company and was trying to call a restaurant in Victor Habor to book a dinner. I was using a car kit with microphone and speaker and had pressed the call button while stationary waiting for a green light. The lights changed to green and whilst accelerating the number came back as engaged and I looked at the phone to press the red button and disconnect the call. In that time frame the 3rd car in front of me stopped. To this day I don't know why as the lights were still green. Anyway the result of travelling downhill, accelerating and looking at the phone for a split second meant that I reacted too slowly and hit the car in front causing a chain collision into 3 other cars. The lady was in the front one.

PS - I was driving a company car - a new 2002 VX Commodore that I had complained about twice to the dealership about its poor brakes and suspension under braking.

PPS - I never use my phone when driving. All calls can be returned. All messages can be read and answered later. I exacerbated injuries to my own spine and cause injuries to others whilst using the phone in the correct, legal manner. Never take anything for granted when driving.

I'm keen as for We love sounds - Queens birthday long weekend in June

4 days of being awake in Melbourne then jetting back for FMF on Monday was the reason I think haha. My body couldn't go for that 5th day.

10am yesterday and half a bottle of Vodka later I was rolling around on Rach's lawn with her huge dog lol... When I say huge dog, I mean this thing:

95 kilo's... shit weighs more than me lol.

Then I vomited out the front of the cop shop on the way to FMF and nearly got arrested for that. Wasn't good.

That's me holding onto some random guy. I don't even know him. That's the result of going too hard too early haha.

Melbourne nightlife is just so much better than here. We could hit town at 9pm, party, come back to the hotel at 5am, drink, head out at 6am and so many places were still cranking.

I cant go see him knowing that it was my fault for him being in the hospital. if i only did someonthing else that could of prevented the whole accident, slowed down more or braked more i dunno there should have been something i could have done.

and now thanks to my retardard driving he is in hospital. it should be me in hospital not him. its all my fault.....

but he will feel bad if you dont go and visit him in the hospital.....think about it.....mistakes happen from everybody, so you going and seeing him will at least put his mind to rest knowing that you do care for how he is doing.....you are being too harsh on yourself Cara....just chill and go and have a chat with your mate in hospital....would be good for the both of ya

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
