I hate Gillard's speeches. She is such a robot. "I am from the 'great' state on south australia". I love the 'great' australia", yada yada yada.

Labor party are excellent at controlling media. Bungled School building projects, Insulation scheme which resulted in deaths and many injuries, Mining tax, which was just stupid. Where the bloddy hell are the laptops for every school-kid also!

Also, did anybody hear the bombshell question Laurie Oakes dropped on Gillard on Thursday or Friday that she wouldn't answer? Dodgy bish.

and on top of your list Jake, don't forget the 'Cash Handout" fiasco and the 3 boats a week (due to softening of detainee laws) as opposed to 3 a year under the former govt.

Funny how Gillard is prepared to bypass prime ministers of neighbouring countries to try and establish a detention centre on foreign soil when the previous govt has already done that and spent a fortune in Naru (Pacific Island) which was heavily critisized by Gillard herself at the time.....look at the mess she's in now, too much pride to use a centre that she had nothing to do with but slagged it at the time.

Gee, I wonder why she's pushing for an early election.......a bit like her other labour mate (Nicole Cornes) cause the questions are starting to get too hard for her and she wants to get elected before she's found out!

does anyone know of a place like covetry fastners that is in the southern area and open on a sat?

anyone??

just put a fresh set of mirrors on the 32 (a big thanks to Kahli for those) and i wanted to do plugs n oil... but the big thing holding me back is the tensioning bolt for the power steering. i cant find a tensioning bolt that does not come with a powersteering pump thrown in ;)

any help would be much appreciated

No shit pete

I cant defend that stuff at all, cause its a boneheaded policy no matter how u look at it.

Illegal immigration is an Australian problem - we need to deal with it, not palm it off to some other foreign base. Ruddock was the first asshole who tried that, and he did it so that we could avoid scrutiny regarding certain human rights charters we were a signatory body... now it comes across more like a govt with no plans and a bunch of vote grabbing desperation for certain uneducated left wing factions...

And her pushing for an election only weeks before she knifed the incumbent in the back? Bad move. I think the Nicole Cornes comparison is a bit much tho, we know cornesys broad is about as thick as they come, Gillard at least has a bit of a brain - too bad shes not using it.

That said, the liberal opposition are so utterly pathetic at this time I dont think many people (aside from party loyalists) will be voting for them.

Having thought about it, I'm definately voting green. I could care less about the preferential votes, because one way or another you're screwed when it comes to that nonsense, however if the 3rd largest party get another swing at the expense of both the labor and liberal parties then maybe we might see some competition for a change

2 party systems dont work. and being loyal to one party thru an entire lifetime is also pretty myopic. sadly its the nature of our govt, and since the demise of the democrats there really isnt any impartial body to speak of to moderate the more extreme factions on either party.

That said, I think its a shame howard moulded the liberal party around himself rather than spending more time grooming the succession. Abbott is a limp fish, Hockey hasnt got the experience and Turnbull caves in to polls almost as much as labor do.

It will be an interesting election, whomever u follow.

Just listened to all the Mel Gibson tapes. :D

She's a deceitful little bitch but f**k me she gets him going. Some of the language he uses is rather... colorful. It's amazing how she acts so calmly, it's almost like she knows she's being recorded

Some of you guys are on freaking drugs when it comes to wheel prices .... if you reckon you can get 18" x 9.5 Rotas for $1k delivered I absolutely challenge you to show me where .... and even at $1,600 they are a freaking steal .... the best price I could find on a new set of 18" x 9.5 +20 genuine LMGT4s was $6k delivered .... yet my Rota copies (the very same wheels Willalls are running on their Evo 10 that does 1:12 freaking second laps around Mallala - and they have smashed them on ripple strips etc with no ill effects) were just under $1,700 delivered with some tough negotiation. I freaking love the rims - they look porn, and every time I rub up against a kerb (which is often when using the car for work and parking 30 times a day) I don't give a shit .... I would give a shit if I had paid $1,500 PER WHEEL though!

Go for it Penny - if you like them, that is all that matters.

Vision R in Perth sell a range of Rota Wheels for $999 + $100 delivery, so $1099 delivered, a $550 saving over the link Penny posted:

Ive got myself a $10,000 piece of paper (diploma) in this audio shit...to me, it sounds doctored...theres way to much clarity in her voice. His is muffled and unclear, which i think has been done post recording as its not him (just an impersonator) to make it seem more real...

nah, when we record covertly our voice is always clearer than the 3rd party's (muffled voice)....she's obviously hidden a dicataphone on her

She would drive me to do a lot worse me thinks.........I think Mel Gibson displayed good self control IMHO..........can you say "Leach & Gold Digger"!!!

EDIT: About those Rota Wheels......me likey these very much......wonder what would look good on a silver car?

Silver, Bronze or Gunmetal?..........maybe the latter???

>>Starlet Injectors<<

no matter how many times you see flame war its still good

[/quote/]

thanks steve. But right Now it's making 115@10psi with injectors on 94%. if I do injectors I'll soon need a pump. Then I'll need a better ecu than the safc 2, then I may as well change turbos.... And after all that it will still be a starlet and be bordering on useless.

Been in one with 155@ the wheels using a td04, f'ing rocket with an LSD, but by then that's another 5-7k. Not really worth it for me.

But who knows, I suppose I've gone this far

Josh, if your injectors are already at 94% @ 10 psi, you do need injectors.

Alternatively turn the boost down or lay off the go pedal cause she's gonna start running lean very soon.

My standard injectors ran at 100% for a couple of years and i never had a problem.

    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
