Ah nice one! Your 33 looked nice man - shiny. :D Glad you didn't look inside my 32. It wasn't so nice and tidy in there! I'd driven it to Pick N Payless with the dash and centre console pulled apart and tools and shit all over the seats and floor. Luckily they had the bit I needed on an old Maxima. How'd you get on? Find what you needed? I love that place.

haha yeah still shiny from autosalon.

it was the first time id been out there, took a mate out to find bits for his civic but walked out with a new electric mirror motor for $20 for my car. score.

only had one 33 there and a bunch of 31's but if i had a more common car like a commodore or something then i could get stuck in that places for days.

On Great Western Today saw a silver R33 gtsT with a GTR badge on the back and shopping list on the side, :D sticker on the back saying 2die4

Hi If you're on here, can't say I'm a fan of your car but a nice front bar though

I was driving my company car, Red vrx lancer

Yeah there isn't much out there in the way of imports. That one N/A automatic R33 had been absolutely gutted! I was lucky that the bit I needed was a common Nissan part across most of their models. Even so, there was only one car there that still had it! I got a bit lucky.

I was trying to find a couple of bits for a mates EG Civic as well, but had no luck. Win some lose some I guess.

Spotted a white R34 tonight just after 5:30pm near Mascot train station. Looked nice with possibly some Starcorp Impuls on it? Hard to tell in the dark when they're spinning.

Last night spotted maroon R33 GTST with no wing and white spokie wheels on Old Windsor Road - sounded tough

30 sec later spotted white R34 GTT on Sunnyholt rd intersection

This morning spotted HERTBO along Norwest Blvd - had also seen this car a couple of weeks earlier at Unigroup

spotted a two tone silver/red 31 with some custom paint too, I know he works down near grim performance, was gunna wave but didn't have my brain plugged in :D

Also spotted a girl in a red... car... with red P plates taking a pic of my car... from my rear view mirror... :stupid: why?!

probably end up on www.ricecars.com :D

Hahaha. But he doesn't have the ricer wing anymore? :)

Saw a kinda beat up looking dark blue R33 this morning turning off Wentworth Ave (?) down near Botany. Front bar was either gone or ripped off, couldn't quite tell in my rear view mirror. Had green P plates on it.

It's ok Doof, she probably just recognized your pic from some "known sexual offenders" site :D

On another note, spotted my new car going in for it's final panel work tomorrow :) Almost done!! Having serious withdrawal symptons from not driving a skyline for 3 months...

I was in my new stealth nugget, the bluebird....which had just had been involved with a stupid, moronic cab driver....

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
