fats BEST viewing area is up the top of Corporate Hill with the loan tree. The big hill on the left as you go in before the tunnel. It is high up and can see 80% of the track from there. Sit up there with Bear Baron, Paul Lewis and have a Skyline party, careful not to roll down the hill though.

that's not corporate hill ya goose. corporate hill is the one in the middle of the track in between turns 7/8/9. the hill your thinking of is just 'the hill'. you're right though it's good viewing, just don't fall into the massive wheel tracks left by some clown doing donuts up there....

Need to try and set up the flat shift on the Vipec so that irrespective of ho wlaggy it is, with the 4.6 diff i can just flat shift the bastard everywhere and keep it on the boil...

...and really, i would be interested in keeping this hoax going if Superlap was next week. But its months away and no point starting the mind games yet. Plus anyone that knows me i will sell all this shit i have accumulated for my car before installing any of it :)

Yeap, +1 for the hill sinking piss with the "SAU Team piss it up". I dont think 1.45 will cut it at this event, so my money and effort is best spent on getting shattered rather then driving the GTR.

Bring your drinking boots fats GAME ON!

What times has he run? (1 minute 30 second range at EC!!).

I have read it has run a 1.37 and also the tilton evo has done the same. or was that 1.36?

Thanks

I honestly can't remember exactly but yeah around 1.37 is about right. It has some more time in it yet though, we still had a few problems that day and on top of solving those little issues there is also some improvements coming.

Yeah I also heard that garth had done a 1.36 or something in the evo but it was third hand info, and when I asked the bloke when we were there he said they'd done a low 40 I think (maybe a 42?), I have a feeling the guy telling us that garth did a 36 had the evo time mixed up with a radical he was driving for his work with them. Depending on which model and spec his times in various radicals go all the way down to the low 30s at EC from memory but I don't think he got into the 30s with the EVO. Could be wrong though, it's certainly was very quick. But anyway I also heard that they apparently aren't running that car at SL this year or possibly not running it any more at all?

yeah, 1.37 was right. back in august last year. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....08/2009.ARDC.S1

I have a spare TD06L2-20G and a spare TD06SH-25G, along with spare manifold and gate. So we can have your car at 260rwkws or whatever you want in the space of a weekend! :) Seriously, i have so much shit laying around...i need to start selling it to fund finishing off the car and stop farking with it when its not broken. I will know by the end of the month whether i am entering.

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
