I'm wondering if anyone is interested in doing a group buy on the following:

I will make some enquiries with UAS (coincidentally, thats SAU backwards - freaky!) later on in the week.

The set retails for $250.

Jason.

Jason,

Might be worth giving the Spoiler Shop in Myaree a call. Ask for Dan as I'm sure he can get these kits cheaper than that. That's where I got mine from. :D

Cheers!

Dave

edit: I spoke to Daniel and he said give him a buzz on his mobile 0401 434 394 and he'll hook SAUWA up with a great deal :( He laughed when i told him the UAS price!

Ok, I rang Spoiler Shop, and there's good news and bad news ...

Good news, they retail for $220 a set, and $345 fitted, if we can get 5 or more cars, we can get them @ $200 a set and $325 fitted.

Bad news, they only have the luminous ones, such as this:

Personally, I am only looking for the plain white ones that do not glow at night, but he cannot get them.

I'll still check with UAS and see what they can do (obviously, they can't do the install, but it shouldn't be that hard)

Sounds good to me :)

But do give Dave's idea a go first... if we can save money then why not :)

Personally, I am only looking for the plain white ones that do not glow at night, but he cannot get them.

Dude, as far as i'm aware, there are no white gauges in existence that do not glow at night. Also, just spoke to Dan again re: the price you were quoted (I'm assuming from Greg) and although cheaper than UAS, he said to speak to him direct on his mobile (# posted above) and he'll probably be able to do a better deal again. (I'd expect it closer to $200 if not below)

Let me know how you get on if you call him as it's my reputation on the line here too as I'm saying he'll look after you and I don't want to known as some guy who spins BS about looking after SAUWA with deals.

Cheers! :)

Apparently it takes about 2 and a half hours to do it ..

I agree they look alright cam, but the problem is, if they illuminate, they'll probably reflect on your windscreen.

I'll give Dan a call and see what he can do, but I'll still keep looking around for plain white ones that don't illuminate. Even the other guy @ Spoiler Shop said they USED to be able to get plain white ones ..

Also, where were you on Friday night? Ignoring my SMS's and all! Are you cheating on me?! :)

I think all of em look like that at night uneek...

hmm - wonder how hard they are to install?

I believe they have some in stock.

If you're interested, let me know so we can get definitive numbers for a discount.

Jason.

they look unreal... does the spoiler shop have them in stock or do they have to order in

Yeah, I know that :D

Ummm, doing it probably mid january/early february, I'd rather keep my eyes out for just plain white ones :D

Also, You're PLATENUMBER, aren't you?

I'm the guy in the silver sII who you were talking to near morley the other day :)

yeah im keen ... when were ya looking into getting them ... ie money not so good this close to xmas if ya know what i mean

That'd be me :D

Now, lets edit out the plate details so people don't know them :D

yeah i am... freeky.

hehehehe so let me remember your plate .hmmmm "PLATENUMBER" am i close ?

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart.
