im trying to find rims for my black r32 gtst

and im not sure what ones i want

ive got the black theme going on at the moment, black car, dark tints, black head lights.. so i need black rims

so im heading towards satin black

i want 18 inch and hoping for a fatter rim in the rear

i was looking at the bsa replica TE37's (satin black with red lip) but apparently they dont have a fatter rear rim

im looking at spending around 2500k - 3k

any help would be awesome, as this is the right place to ask

so can you guys post up some rims of what you reckon would look good

Thanks Ash

for 2.5-3k mate i'd be looking into some quality second hand japanese rims - as apposed to brand new copy rims

keep an eye on the forums, or if that fails there are a few brokers who will be able to help you with yahoo jap

I dont think the GTC will suit 32 at all. Reason being GTC looks too fat for any sleek cars. Prefer multi spokes (more than 5) with dish for sleek cars. Look at Colin's 32GTR with XD9.

I'll pimp this one for ya Tristan.

Oh yea. For that price. Dont bother with copies. Just get 2nd hand stuff and be on the look out on the for sale section. I got my LMGT4 for 3.4k with tyres.

Quoted for truth!

Here is an example from Yahoo Japan

600x450-2009031900010.jpg

18" x 8" +40 Front

18" x 9" +35 Rear

Estimated total price delivered to my work in Warriewood via sea (assuming it doesn't go any higher than minimum bid...) is $2,633.68

Stronger, lighter and hold their value longer than anything from Tempe ;)

EDIT

I probably should add that I found these via Import Monster, I am not a import broker

party time!

thats the idea!

however i'd argue those widths/offests aren't baller enough ;)

gtc's on r32 = epic fail

work meisters on r32 = epic fail.

black te37s on r32 = major win!!!

volk ce28's look phat too.

for the amount of coin you are looking at spending, i think you could easily get some second hand if not new jap rims.

and on a 32 17's look big if you have low profile 40 series tyres.. saving you some money over 18's.

Like I've recommended to anyone thats on a slightly lower budget. Get the Gramlight 57d. Price isnt bad for a Ray. But if I'm you, I'll keep a look out for import monster's website/post or just the forsale section.

For $3K why not get used TE37s of any colour, and then powdercoat them in black? Hopefully you can then find some in a proper offset and width, rather than the weaksauce ones that replica wheels inevitably come in to fit FWD econoboxes.

I've seen quite a few on the Yahoo! Japan auctions.

For $3k you can buy genuine & new - import them but be prepared to wait a while to receive them.

Rays CE28N in bronze or titanium silver.

OR

Rays RE30 in any of the three colours available - bronze, chrome silver or (for another 5000Yen - ouch) formula silver with a diamont-cut rim.

i agree bro... to many skylines with shit wheels to many with pimp wheels and fail offset / width and a very little selection with fitment.

for a gtst

go a 9.5-10 on the rear. 9.5 with a 225 or a 10 with 235 say like -1 camber with some guard work = hellaflush

9-9.5 up front with a nice offset like +15-17 with say a 215 to 225 will look good to.

for your 2-3k you can easily do that

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
