Maybe try a set of extractors or even a stock NA exhaust manifold on the exhaust. I'm shure you'll pick up some torque over the abortion that's hanging off the side of your head now. Then throw it on a dyno and try advancing the base timing?

Otherwise take it to another mechanic, get the turbo put back on and sell the car!

Buy a barina.

Lmao Thats pretty creative. Butt ugly though. I say if your on P plates you should be driving a slow car until your on opens. Keep that bad boy in place for giggles. But get it chromed. I honestly dont know what a cop would say when they saw it.

"What is this?"

"Its a Chrome Plated Turbo bypass kit officer"

lol yeah it probably makes great entertainment for all you car fanatics but i clearly stated that i made a mistake by getting this done, you learn from your mistakes and move on, besides i didnt do this myself so no one can put the lame arse mechanic job on my back im just the lame arse one who paid someone to do it.. and im now reversing the mistake by getting it all put back togethor, thanks SECURITY & JonnoHR31 and everyone else who helped out, ill check it out and post some pics when its all done, by the way i should be able to get the yellow rubber tubing from most car places yeah? like auto barn?

by the way i should be able to get the yellow rubber tubing from most car places yeah? like auto barn?

doesnt have to be yellow. any rubber hose that size will do. all auto shops should have it

f**k me sideways, quite a novel idea.

seriously take it to some one that knows what they are doing if you dont know what goes where or what material to use for hosing etc then you should not really be playing with it.

so URAS how do you expect new people to learn things if they keep taking it to an expert, i bought this car as a project im pretty tight with 90% of what goes on under the hood and in the cabin just a little lost with the turbo, whats the point of talking to a bunch of losers who just wonna take the piss out of ya, just confuses me thats all i thought this was a social network for people to express ideas and help others.. if you get off giving people shit on a car website you seriously need to look in the mirror and tell yourself to get a life.

thanks for the people who help out young car minds.

Don't take it personally man. The reason this is so funny cause most of us have never seen a turbo blocked off like that before. Most people just put a set of extractors on or something, doing it the way yours is done is definetely thinking outside of the box.

IMO only thing you fucked up with the install was still running the turbo ecu and the retarded timing (turbo motor = lower compression so you could get away with advancing timing a bit). thats the reason why your car is so sluggish. the way it was done was possibly the quickest and easiest way of ripping the turbo out otherwise you would've had to throw in the n/a manifold and the front pipe to suit. then putting it back together would've been the same amount of work and snapping manifold studs isnt fun kids.

all youve got to do is run the oil and water lines and its good to go back to normal. its not rocket science and you could do it yourself.

if you can get a programmable ecu into it and get it to a dyno you'll be fine. you might get a few funny looks from the tuners though. its definitely different.

in NSW the fine for driving a restricted vehicle is something like 7 demerit points.... so bye bye license if you get busted.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
