We are on holidays :D

Next committee meeting isnt for a couple of weeks yet. I like to give committee members a few weeks break - they do work pretty hard :P

There will be one - always is one... just takes a few weeks for everyone to wind up into swing again.

Plus elections are in Feb (more info to follow in coming weeks) :)

lol i'll give you some pics that i might take this yr. as much work as you'll ever get out of me :) in all seriousness though, how come no calendar. i woulda thought that since last yr's template was available, and looked the goods, its just a matter of substituting new pics.

edit: i do realise that since its already 2010, it may be too late to collect pics and get it made in time.

Yep :)

It was tabled, there was a volunteer to get it done, sadly they ran outta time before we had time to replan - that's how it goes sometimes unfortunately.

Its not a set template either, gotta change it up each year or it'd be rather, bland if you know what i mean.

Printing is the easy part, everything else doesn't change a lot.

Damn the SAU 09 calender had pride of place in our kitchen....no SAU 2010 calender means it'll prob be replaced with some BS anne geddes one or some sh1t :)

Oh well it happens, but if you can see that times running short post a thread asking for help as the committee have done for other things...and yes I am aware of how many responses you get for the requests for help but you never know.

We didn't see time was going to run short - late notice and all :)

So ye, if we had've known, might have been possible. Unfortunately i can't micro-manage every little task

And ye, responses for volunteers/committee helped etc is always met with... zero. Sometimes one. Usually zero.

Hardly enough people putting thier hands up out of nearly 400 people. Means those who are dedicated, really have to put in serious hours... heavens help the club if those people stop...

I really would like to see people step up in 2010 and get onto the voting/nominations etc in a couple weeks when posted.

All well and good to say you are keen, doing it is another i've found!

Perhaps if there is enough interest in making the club calendar an annual thing - then it should be included as a responsibility of one of the sub-committee members to coordinate. This will ensure at least one person will be on to it, instead of everyone thinking it's someone else doing it. I call it management delegation

There was someone who said they would do it - regardless of it being "listed" or not - if you are doing it, you are doing, that is how i run my ship

It's my fault for not chasing it up, but when S'n'S, Gala Ball (then throw in other members with DECA) etc etc required more time than i thought, somethings get forgotten.

Sometimes in a group of volunteers, such outcomes are unavoidable.

But everyone reading this going "bummer" - i challenge you to come onboard in 2010 and see how much work is involved.

We ALWAYS need dedicated & committed people to give us a hand. Never a time when we don't these days.

Well Ash, if you guys needs someone to design a calendar, I'm more than happy to donate my time for it :D

As a matter of fact, I'm more than happy to help SAU with ANY design work, that needs done. Just lemme know :P

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
