Have you thought about recording the conversation with them? Not sure bout the legality of doing this but I reckon it might just make em listen as well. Just go back and say you wanna have a final shot at settling things, keep a recorder in your pocket (I know a lot of people that do this when gettin pulled ova by cops) and ofcourse keep calm and let him dig his own hole.

When thats all done, let him know that ACA may have a special interest in your recording. Meanwhile, I hope that MVIRA is able to help ya out.

Good Luck

Nah, I have to say... Dempo's car is my favourite falcon 'cause everything (so far) has been done properly and with a lot of time and consideration...

Only problem is if he keeps on going i'll HAVE to juice up the line to keep infront of him... :)

Not all bad when you think about it though... :)

Ok guys,

I need to have the car diagnosed and a quote to fix... where should I go? (mechanics)...

I live in Hornsby so it has to be close to home, has to operate on weekends too...

Also, while im at it... any good air-con places?... same as above...

cheers.

  • 4 weeks later...

Ok guys... thought i'd keep updating this (cause i said i would)...

Am having different tyres put on the car by the dealer because the ones on it don't match the placard... took a lil arguing but it's being done so no major dramas there...

I'll be sending in forms to DOFT and MVRIA soon so i'll be eagerly waiting a response and will keep you posted...

YEP!!! Damn snow tyres!!!!!!!! lol

they're getting swapped with different ones... How do i know you blitz/how do you know the car?

The dealer is in concord (not sure what area of sydney that is - not the best geographically)...

Yeah, i know eh man... I wasn't having a go at you either... just trying to say something without saying it if you know what i mean.... (:))

And yeah, I've found the guy who runs the place is EXTREMELY bodgy.... he's failed to meet his OWN WRITTEN CONTRACT on a number of instances so it's off the DOFT and MVRIA i go.... :(

Thanks heaps man,

Dave.

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
