Sami,

You are a flatstick dickhead.

If your dumb enough to buy a shitty clapped out smoke chugging car then its your own fault if you get done.

Even if your bludging off the doll, if you know about cars and know what your doing, owning and maintaining a car that runs well is neither hard or expensive.

Its more a question of intelligence not money. Sami, sorry to tell you, youre standing up for idiots because you are idiot yourself.

People should learn from necessity or pay the price. Shut up, learn to spell and learn how to maintain cars.

there is alot of mums boys on here that need to stop living with there perants and get out there in the real world. some ppl are just trying to live.

look fair enough if there out "hooning" late at night with a car full or whatever in there smokey shitbox but leave the ppl alone going to and from work as im sure if they could they would buy a half decent car to go to and from work.

just because you get EPA's no need to create more hate in the world and dishing out the hate to other ppl.

and yeh i wouldnt take it lyin down its all about putting yourself in the other ppls shoes and asking yourself what if that was me?

that's right, what if there was say a similar thread on another forum and the people there decided to dob in every Skyline which has a small puff of black smoke on gearchanges?

I'm betting if there was one then most people (the mass population that is brainwashed by the media) would be all going for it.

All i can do to that post is lol... seriously, i LOL'd that hard all the boys here @ work just looked at me more oddly than usual.

It would have been that deep booming Ash laugh too...haha I think I heard it yesterday morning.

r31 nismoid

u are the biggest wanker i have ever come across

u have not life and all u do if write essays on here

You should think about going out there and living a life instead and u will find not everyone is loaded

and dont try and tell me what EPA is as even a retard would know.

f*kin morons like u make the world a hell to live in

im not here to argue and wont reply anymore

u got a problem with me?? STIFF SHIT

This was good for a laugh, but come on man...attacking people like that isn't going to get your argument anywhere, not on here anyway. And stay true to your words!

Any1 that is dobbing ppl in for breaking road rules/EPA with any intention other that trying to block up the system, u guys are seriously rats. Geez, i thought it was the baby boomer generation dobbing ppl in.

Roads = dangerous place. Please realise how dangerous driving on the road can be if it's not taken seriously or done properly. I'd love someone to have ratted out the drunk c*** who took his and 5 other lives last weekend. Might have been avoided if he'd seen justice on a previous occasion. Had you lost a loved one I'm sure you'd wish whatever turn of events could have prevented it happening had happened. No one can rat you out if you're doing the right thing.

Great - Sami went quiet, always rely on you though.

That's why I love these threads. They bring out and band together all the clever people I've had run ins with from previous arguments of different topic. Then I realise they all share the same thought processes as each other and that I can place them in the same category (i.e. twit) as each other. Which in turn makes me feel warm inside.

Sounds to me like Sami has a few worn piston rings and is raging over it. Whilst I feel sorry for people who can't afford to maintain their cars properly...they are living outside their means. There is always an alternative. Like public transport + walking. Or 25w70.

ok u seem to have a hard head

let me break it down to u, u dick knob

1 family: $400/week to live on with 3 kids: cant efford a new car hence get a cheapo

it f**ks up, they dont have money to fix it and its their only form of transport so if u dob them in then they dont have money to fix it and dont have a car to go work with/take kids to school/ go shopping in

on the otherhand f*kheads like u who have millionair parents dont give a rats ass about having an EPA as u can just give it to a mechanic with a lump sump of money and BINGO they do it all for u

THATS my point

i said before that i wont reply but u seem to be getting more and more stupid by each reply

you dont phase me with your shitty "need a tissue" reply

just coz u are a moderator doesnt make u any better then any one of us it just means ur good at sucking dick

im out

peace out

are you an arab?

its typically the arabs that sit around on the dole, driving a piece of f**king shit with too many kids to count. then complaining about australia being a shit country etc etc

if they stop being eyres and get off their hairy asses and get a job. they wouldnt have that problem

ps: not racism coz im arab myself

I love that the observations, words and sentiment are the exactly the same but it's not racism if you're one of them lol.

hahahaahhaha best feeling. ripping thru someone because of their race. but at the end its okay coz your the same

haha man i was gonna say u have to be an arab to say that kind of an insult lol

seriously though guys stop with the personal attacks, differences of opions- thats it! both ppl are right to a degree but base the arguments on facts and not on personal insult.

haha reading over what i said. makes me want to go to my cousins house and slap him for having no job.

llama: its true though...

Birds, I can afford to service and maintain mine (within reason) - I do not have the luxury of public transport or having another car to drive around in so I NEED to drive my car to go to interviews, appointments etc.

What I am getting at is that I can't afford the ~$2k it would cost me to take my car to melbourne or adelaide to have it retuned.

So therefore if someone dobbed me in to just be an arsehole and to create work for the EPA, I'd be fairly raging about it. It's bad enough I got a BS 500 dollar fine like 30 other locals simply for driving a car at the wrong time (EPA testing station). So no I think you're just being a prick if you dob in smoky cars etc UNLESS they are doing something dangerous.

u guys are ALL fried... if u get an EPA letter u ball your eyes out but u would call EPA and dob someone in

fair enough if they are drunk or being stupid but if theres some smoke coming out the exhaust maybe they cant efford a car u dipshits

thats my opinion. .. yours might be different but if ur the type that gets a giggle or a thrill at someone else's expense then i have no respect for u

+1

lots of hypocrites in this thread

all for reporting dangerous, drunk drivers and that but really epa and littering etc etc.. are you all that perfect really? i doubt it.

who cares if someone wants to race you at the lights why bother dobbing them in dont race them and then their is no "race"?

i tell ya now the next one of you to get an EPA letter in the mail will yell and scream as loud as you can but your no different to a smokey car if you want to be tecnhical. if its too loud its too loud if its got 2 air intake mods its all illegal so your no better..

I think a lot of people in this thread need to have a long hard think. Although Sami may not of gone about expressing his opinions in the best way, he makes some very valid points.

I think you should all try and think about what kind of situation other people could be in before you try and dob them in for something. You don't know their circumstances. Its easy to judge and say they should and shouldn't do something from behind a screen. But life isn't that simple.

What if a young mother has a couple of kids, has to juggle school and part time work, and could only afford 1k for a run around car? Say she had the perfect little family, but the father was killed, not some "baby bonus family". How would she feel if her car was put off the road? How would the kids get to school? How would the shopping get done? How would she get from school-work-school on time? She was already on thin ice...

Put yourself in someone elses shoes, also think about the right and wrong ways about going about things.

If your issue is with the Police and EPA, take it on at a political level, write letters to the correct people, stage protests, make a point that voters are unhappy. Make noise. In the end the little people will get caught up, but it won't be because they have been dobbed in.

My 2 cents.

    • Did this end up working? Did you take some pictures?
    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
