lol it's not even a public website, and it's in another language!

this shit needs to take a trip to the Wasteland!

http://www.pharosalex.com.au/pages/33achome.html.

Was a public website for comments, on reviewing the NCOP VSB 14

Must mean if it aint for review anymore they have alredy decided.

The LA1 table has always been in the VSB14, just didnt apply to LA3 modifications, I heard they moved the table in the LA document so that it will apply.

hey dumbass, that is from feb last year, and it only applies to modifications. basically it means you can't put a 427 chev engine in a gemini. has nothing to do with what the manufacturers put in their cars from the factory.

Hey thanks for the compliment, but that was when all the state heads of Vehicle Safety sections agreed to the change, or so my mate tells me.

And of course your right, every manufacturer has a V8 with a turbo or superchaged engine in their stable. Still they spent the money on R&D so they can do what they like, we wont be able to.

yes but they did the R&D on making sure that a chassis will be able to handle the power. some backyarder who puts a blown 350 chev into a torana won't know/care about whether it is going to twist the chassis every time he launches it. and he might put it in and not do any upgrades to the brakes or anything like that.

I'm not arguing for bad modifications, and I am all for manufacturers producing hot cars, turbo or otherwise.

I was just flagging impending change, to be for warned is to be for armed.

If your about to mod a V8 with a supercharger, espesially here in the west u need to know this shit.

i like this rule, looks like my mates Cluby with its 6L and the turbo kit his just brought is not goin to happen if this is true. Which means, GTR will still beat him. hahaha

as much fun as that would be, afraid not

although in a car that light, i think the twist of the engine when you reved it meant that if you were showing off at the lights by reving the car, if you reved it too hard it would just flip the car onto its roof, LOL

Hey VSB 14 NCOP version 2 will ban V8s being blown.

3 x tare weight = max cc allowed.

Commodore v8 1600kg = 4800cc.

Bye Bye blown V8s.

Imports will rise to the top.

Learn to read first...

All vehicles originally weighing more than 1100 kg.

Original tare mass (kg) x 5.0

=

max. capacity in cc's

1600*5=8000. Can you even get 8L v8s?

    • You won't make it out of your driveway. Both your rear wheels will go in whichever direction they feel. Your Hicas rack or a lockout bar is required to keep your wheels straight.
    • Updating results.  Using ATR45SS-0 model VS UHF57-900. Those two are very different turbos, different wheels sets with different wheel hub profiles but yet with almost identical result. I’m intrigued with both turbos performance. ATR45SS-0 was a 61mm turbo first developed in May 2020, UHF57-900 was a 62mm turbo developed in March 2024 as a powered up alternative of a G30-900. On paper ATR45SS-0 maxed at 563rwkws, while UHF57-900 maxed at 568rwkws. ATR45SS was slightly more responsive with slightly better power band through the mid range.  Road driving ability, ATR45SS-0 had better throttle response, felt more robust under throttle, as it wakes up earlier. I think G series wheel hub design made it to have higher inertia under light throttle. Doing bit more prototype work in the next few weeks, will update result when its back on dyno again. ATR45SS0 Blue, UHF57-900 Red Chequered tuner's Dynapack hub dyno, E85 fuel. Mod list is in video below video_20240604_114214.mp4
    • Did you run the power cables for the mac valve to the other side of the car near the fusebox? Utilizing the stock boost controller cables? or did you run new ones?
    • Hey I have a potentially stupid HICAS question 🤣 I'm currently doing a full hicas delete, Power steering pump modified to non hicas, all lines removed from the car along with all electronics. My stupid question is - Do I need a lock out bar? is there any reason why I cant just remove everything from the rear end? I already have a lock out bar but thinking to save a few extra grams I could also get rid of the arms and tie rods as well and just run it with nothing in its place? or would it have a negative effect on handling?
    • Hi how are you guys?  I know i have been absent for years but im coming back slowly guys just wondering if anyone know where the ball joint on the NISMO arm front and rear can be replaced with OE parts?  Also  i know this is not the thread looking for springs and blistein shocks for the 260rs. Please advcie     cheers    yudy
